WAR DRG and SAM are epic on Lessers. WAR and DRG only if your healer can handle it, otherwise SAM is the best (innate damage mitigation). On SAM (65 at the moment) I'm probably staying on Lessers until 75. Easy to get to, easy to make a setup for, I can box a COR, and there's always enough syncees.

If you're skills are capped, honestly thats the best route to take. Not like capping skills is hard anyway if they aren't.

I had Marksmanship capped from THF @230, so I sync'd most of my way to level 75. At about 72~ I just leeched in merit parties.

Kind of a noob question as I'm mostly a melee guy, but:

For RDM..how do you choose MND / INT vs. Magic acc/atk/skill in certain slots? Which is better for which situation? (Regarding enfeebles mostly, and nukes secondly)

Trying to get maximum DD potential out of my PLD. Here is my DD gear below. But I am not sure which SJ would give me the best results I head different things from different people. The only thing i change gear wise for nin would be to offhand joyuse. However people told me that offhanding joyuse would decrease my damage over time due to Excalibur getting less procs. Allthough I think I could get TP to Vorpal Blade faster. So it all boils down to would /war or /nin be better for me to get the most damage.

    TP gear
    main - Excalibur
    sub - Koenig Shield
    head - Champion's Galea - 5 Haste + 2 str
    neck - Fortitude Torque
    lear - Suppanomimi
    rear - Burtal Earring
    body - Ares's Cuirass
    hands- Homam Manopolas
    lring - Blood Ring
    rring - Ulthalam's Ring
    back - Forager's Mantle
    waist - Velocious Belt
    legs - Homam Cosciales
    feet - Homam Gambieras

    WS gear
    main - Excalibur
    sub - Koenig Shield
    head - Hecatomb Cap
    neck - Fortitude Torque
    lear - Suppanomimi
    rear - Burtal Earring
    body - Ares's Cuirass
    hands- Hecatomb Mittens
    lring - Ruby Ring
    rring - Ruby Ring
    back - Forager's Mantle
    waist - Warwolf Belt
    legs - Ares's Flanchard
    feet - Hct. Leggings

Sentinel's Shield (haste+1% one), Cuchulain's mantle, Ancient Torque/Peacock Charm, Wahlara Turban, and Blitz Ring/BBQ

    Dusk Gloves+1 if you're rich.

He has an Excalibur, if he's not rich he ought to be

I'd TP in ancient torque or PCC. Excalibur damage relies on the added effect as well (attack is not a factor here, accuracy is). This skews the general "PCC > sea torques" statement even more towards PCC.

Toreador/BBQ, and also Turban yeah (HP).

Hades are more damage unless you eat pizza (arguable) or can TP with destroyers and 410-415 accuracy total for non - armored chariot boss.

To answer your question, it's all situational. Depends what you're fighting. (Sky gods = pure skill, limbus/dyna level mobs = MND/INT/MAB, etc etc.)

Now my question: Is Crimson Belt worth it for the 2 Dark skill in place of a Swift Belt? I loves me some Dark skill, but it feels like a toss-up.

It's not exact, but you can kinda go with 2 INT/MND = 1 MAcc or Skill, I always recommend having 2 separate sets for both nukes and debuffs, one for more potency and one for more accuracy, I use spellcast variables to toggle between sets.

I also keep staff swaps on separate macros so that I can pop them on midcast if needed, that way I can either do full MND, full MAcc/Skill, or full MND + staff. Ideally I'll be able to swing an Alkalurops soon and just use that for the MND build.

Doubt there's enough Dark Magic tests to suggest one is better than the other. Until a working formula appears, it's going to be difficult to say how effective that 2 Skill will be in reducing resist rates.

Hmm..ok..so basically for more resistant mobs like gods just use acc/skill and for lesser stuff like normal mobs use mnd/int..now my question is..im not gonna be castrated for casting enfeeb on any mob in insect ring vs. say +4 int or mnd ring right? (i know snow/aqua..im poor)

If it's Insect just go with the stat+4 ring, they won't be noticeably different in terms of MAcc almost all of the time, and will help with the debuffs that have variable potency, Slow/Para/Blind, etc. Were the choice to be between Balrahn's and INT/MND rings, that'd be a bit different, and that's when you take into account what you're actually fighting.

Also for spells that do not have variable potency, where all that matters is landing it without any resists(Sleep, Gravity, Silence, Poison), you also want to load up on the MAcc/Skill there regardless of target, possibly some Haste/FC in slots where you can't get a decent chunk of MAcc/skill for Sleep/Gravity in particular.

Bind is still kind of an oddity that seems to me to have multiple tiers of landing 'unresisted', where there's landing it for full duration time-wise, but also the strength of the Bind effect in terms of holding through damage that I believe has some INT/level difference modifiers between you and the target, but it's not something that I've thoroughly tested or anything. For that I prefer to keep a decent amount of INT in the slots where I can't get large chunks of skill/Macc.

So using Insect Ring when casting Sleep/Grav/etc is ok but use stat rings for stuff like slow/para?

Yeah, honestly there's not really any need for Insect Ring at all, but on things with no variable potency it's not any different to use it over INT/MND rings. I'd personally toss it to save the inventory spot.
