No one has results that have been tested to prove that one is better then the other.
Avatar damage is too random to test. Has been brought up a few times on these forums with never an answer.
People say " Go with what your heart tells you"
(personally i use evoker's Spats +1)
Just thought about the possibility of herder's subligar being better then Evoker's + Oracles.
Stupid question, too lazy to actually do maths, but quick confirmation would be nice:
Fowling vs Brutal for Atonement TP using Joyeuse. Fowling, yes? And is the 5 attack on Assault worth losing a point of acc from Fowling when the primary goal is to gain TP? (I know TP damage adds up, but it's 5 attack QQ).
Brutal: 2.75% DA after overlap with Joyeuse
Fowling: 1.5% hitrate
Brutal will be superior anytime your ACC is above 54.5% with it equipped.
Brutal it is. Been using it anyways cuz I'm lazy, but I'm due for a spellcast rehash soon anyways so thought I'd check. Danke
Not sure I agree with this. Any situation where that statement is true is a situation you should probably be on sam instead. The places blu shines is when you can literally spam spells, then get a restore chest (certain limbus zones) or be done with the fight. If you are actually doing a significant bit of meleeing, I think you're better off on sam usually, though headbutt is nice still...
I would argue that BLU's solo capacity (Due to HB and other specialties) is greater than that of SAM. In those cases, you want to preserve MP and melee the mobs. Otherwise, SAM > BLU for PT oriented events unless your SAM is complete and utter shit.
SAM:
Someone link me the math behind Usubody/Usufeet/rajas + sword strap vs usubody/usufeet/rajas + Pole Grip. Capped sTP merits of course and Hagun.
I saw it somewhere a while ago but no luck so far while searching. Thanks
sword strap gives.: -3% delay. 1/(1-0.03)=1.031 so its actually +3.1% dmg, as in, +3.1% more melee hits and +3.1% number of WS;
Pole grip: worst case for pole grip is if you sub war (15%DA), then 1.17/1.15=1.017 so it gives 1.7% more melee hits and 1.7% more WS. ( It's 1.9 % if not WAR SJ). Your WS can also DA, and DA gekko is +53% damage, so you'll do about +50% dmg for one out of 50 WS... so in the end its +1% WS dmg. 1.01*1.017=1.027 so it contibute to +2.7% to WS dmg.
Sum up: sword strap is +3.1% melee and +3.1% WS.
pole grip is +1.7% melee and +2.7% WS.
Now remember that you don't need to use rajas if you use pole grip, can replace it with a toreador if needed, in "a meat build". I used to do that, but finally figured out that keeping rajas with pizza anyway, is the best way to go.
War AF2 hands or Alky's for RR? Byakko is being a stingy whore.![]()
WAR AF2 Hand don't want to lose the DEX and ACC on this WS however i use Alky with Aggessor up for KJ.
What's better at level 54 bird camp for a Samurai, Soboro or polearm or a reg gkt? No merits in either weapon. And what level should Soboro be replaced?
I'm not a "maths guy" (largely 'cos I'm lazy), but whenever I exp'd on birds with samurai - or have been in a birds pt with samurai - the ones using polearms always made the ones using soboro look a little bit silly.
