Counter question. Why will the Bengals start the season 0-2?
the fortune of the bengals hinges on black tank johnson
Frank Gore SEA
Matt Forte PIT
Jamal Lewis @DEN
Pierre Thomas @PHI
Randle El StL
Owens TB
Berrian @DET
Royal CLE
C Henry @GB
2 RB/2 WR/1Flex
I am thinking Gore/Lewis/Randle El/Owens/Berrian
Opinions?
I want to stick with Forte but I am not sure against Pitt, especially if Cutler does another Clutch impersonation.
The Steelers DB's are going to make anything Chicago has to put out there look like high schoolers. Forte will run a whole lot, but he'll be lucky if he's over 2.5ypc.
I'd say Henry @ GB but Bob Bratkowski doesn't know how to use 3 WR sets anymore.
I'm debating who to put in for my 2nd RB, flex, and TE spots in my ESPN league. PPR, and I'll list out what each player's projected point total is next to their name.
Available:
Hines Ward (7)
Earl Bennett (16.5)
Chris Henry (don't remember, but it's low)
Pierre Thomas (4)
Mike Bell (10.5)
Laurence Maroney (13.5)
Dallas Clark (6ish)
Dustin Keller (15.5)
Currently starting:
RB: Mike Bell
RB/WR: Hines Ward
TE: Dustin Keller
Why does it have Keller getting so many more points than Clark? And wow at that Bennett number too. I'd say Pierre's a better start than Bell from this point forward, and I'm honestly confused how Clark is so low on the projection, given the loss of their #2 last week. Ward is probably the safest be at WR though
Good, I'm not the only one confused lol.
See, that was my thinking on Ward and Clark as well. ESPN just seems to think Bennett/Keller will get a couple more receptions and a TD compared to Ward/Clark. Though Bennett makes some sense to me just based upon how much Cutler seems to be targeting him. I'm not so sure about Thomas yet though... at least not this week anyway. And I'm definitely not too happy at the apparent timeshare the he and Bell will most likely have, considering that it'll mess with my 2nd RB slot.
Been trying to make a trade for a quality RB since I'm deeeep at WR (Moss, Jennings, White being my other WR), but no one's biting yet.![]()
You should get Keller based solely on the fact that he is a Purdue alum. I know that's why I have him.
I'm starting him as well.
Same problem in my money league atm. Can't find that right trade yet.
Granted I have Forte for my primary RB (who did jack shit last week), but I've been having to run a WR in my flex, giving me 1 RB and 3 WR. I have Bradshaw as well, but H.Ward put up better numbers than him this past week, which is who I chose for my flex.
I still need a really solid 2nd RB![]()
Need some advice. In one my leagues I am in dire need of RB, LT and D.Ward is all I have pretty much at the moment, with LT being hurt especially I need some help at the position. A friend of mine is overing Fred Jackson, who will hopefully be productive this week and next before Lynch comes back, and Cotchery, for Santonio Holmes. What do you think?
Which 2 of the following:
Steve Slaton vs. TEN
Cadillac Williams vs. BUF
Tim Hightower vs. JAC
Lee Evans vs. TAM
I'm thinking Hightower and Evans.
RIDE THAT CADILLAC SON
The Jackson thing will end up costing you in the long term imo but I would do it. Cotchery will get catching with how much they are letting Sanchez throw the ball off of play action. He and Stuckey should continue to produce.
With that said Ben is just far too erratic for me to just rest all of my hopes on Santonio. He will have a good game here and others Parker and Mendenhall will rip it for 100 or Ward and Miller will get a majority of the TD's.
I'd do it but its just me.
Evans I would go with. Hightower seems like a safe pick but the Jags D isnt a cake walk and Zona has been just throwing check down passes to his ass so far this season which is disappointing. Not to mention Wells is getting more and more reps as we go on.
But I cant find anything other than hypotheticals as to why you shouldn't start those 2.
I think TN gave up big #'s to Slaton last season (I believe one of them was his first ever game).
I would go...
Slaton/Hightower
If you really don't want to play Slaton, which you should always play your stud, go....
Hightower/Cadillac
Lee Evans should not even be in the equation.
Fred Jackson against TB or McFadden @ KC? I'm leaning towards McFadden, but Jackson lit it up last week so I dunno.
Jackson all the way....not even close again.
Marion barber (playing giants, last year he had a shitty game vs them)
or
Cedric benson, who put up more fantasy points last week, and is playing against Green bay this week.
