Mason faces Leon Hall at least once more this season. Go with Driver![]()
he can put it nate washington or TO that week. TO will probably be a bear by then anyway.
Had a monster week in BGW to double up on my opponent. Schaub, BMarsh, and Winslow all had hueg days.
Hasselbeck vs ARI
or
Brees vs NYG
I'm thinking Hassel
Brees 10/10 times until Monday morning....
Never bench Brees/Peyton no matter the matchup.
Similar scenario with me in the WR slot.
CAR S.Smith or H.Ward? I'm terrified to bench Smitty because he's always got the potential to put up nasty numbers, yet he's struggled while Ward has been exceptionally consistent.
Smith faces TB who's ranked 23rd against the pass. Yes, Jake is his QB, but Smitty can still wreck a team like TB.
Ward faces CLE who's ranked 10th against the pass, and 32nd against the run. With Mendenhall stepping up, I see PIT running all over them. Ward will still do work though.
So I'm leaning towards staying the course and continuing to start Smith. Any opinions that might make me decide otherwise? Anything I'm overlooking like perhaps 1-1 match ups?
I'd start Smith against Tampa Bay. TB can't really stop anybody in the air. They are much worse than the stats say.
You can't sit Smith against TB unless you believe you should easily beat your opponent and can count on the 10 guaranteed points from Ward.
If you are "if-y" about the win, you have to start Smith and hope his higher ceiling pays off.
Who is your other WR? Can't start them both?
Well, normally, I agree with this but he's had two horrible weeks and he's facing THE best defense in the league.
Plus, IMO, Hasselbeck is just about as good as Brees when healthy. And Arizona is one of the worst pass defenses in the league. I don't see how he doesn't get over 300 yds and 2 TD's in this game.
I think it's a toss up between the two. I could make an argument for both.
Smith -- It's possible that CAR will be behind in the fourth and will have to keep passing.
Ward -- Unlike CAR, there's no possibility that PIT is down at the end of their game. However, QB's make the WR and Big Ben has been a top 5 QB so far this season.
My other WR is S.Smith, lol. The NYG one. He's money.
Now I'm more tempted to use Ward since my opponent is starting Big Ben. It'd help nullify his points.
I'm scared to start Hasselbeck EVER. Dude gets hurt way more than a guy wants. D:
Also, as far as "THE best defense in the league", keep in mind what offenses they've played. That's Washington, Dallas, Kansas City, Oakland, and Tampa Bay. Yeah.. not exactly all offensive leaders in any categories or anything. Honestly, I think they'll struggle against the Saints, but find a way to win, but still. I think they are best in defense by default.
Unless he throws a couple TDs to Holmes...
I said some and tempted <.<!
Remember Smitty is a homer pick too, so it's really, really hard for me to sit him.
Edit: Ward has been pure win the past couple of weeks though. But I'm prolly going to go with Smitty just for the simple fact that if I don't he'd probably end up with 150yrds and 2 TDs.
I would wrestle with it, but go with Steve Smtih (CAR) because his ceiling is so much higher.
If he fails this week, I'm blaming you guys.
Worst add/drop I've ever seen a few days ago in my NFL.com league.
Guy dropped R.Rice for P.Crayton. I was able to claim Rice off waivers.
Shit like that is why I hate free leagues sometimes. It's not as satisfying when you win against retards.
Should I start Favre goin against the ravens, or Kerry Collins vs. Patriots.... leanin towards Favre just because he's been pretty reliable all year for points and the Titans O-line has been pretty terrible.
