Fantasy Football 2009: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Trade 'Em

Is there an option for a league veto system? Unless it's just so completely lopsided, I typically don't give a damn. I traded for Brandon Marshall when he sucked and I gave up Cedric Benson and another WR. I got screwed in the trade, but I was deep as hell at RB (Ronnie Brown, Kevin Smith, Maroney, Ricky Williams), so I was willing to eat the loss for having a stacked WR and RB team.

Just save yourself the headache for vetoes and turn it over to other people to make the decisions.

I wish I would have stashed him away, but I'll be honest. I was hoping Ronnie Brown would stay healthy the whole year. It sucks to see the trio (4some if you count Carlos Rogers) from the undefeated class of Auburn be so damned injury prone. Got the QB on a team where the GM is a fucktard, a guy who's had knee surgery on both knees, and another guy who was run into the ground in his rookie year. Total suckage.

With all due respect, good sir, note that I was actually accepting a trade offered to me, engineered by Akiyama and Colm (I was told Colm needed an RB, and that was the trade laid out). I saw an offer, I accepted it. Sure, I was upset that I didn't get it, but it subsided rather quickly. Nor did I make any threats of league-busting.

In fact, that example helps my case. The trade offered to me, which I accepted, was vetoed. You pull up your panties and move on. As a last point, note the time when the trade was offered -- in the midseason...not week 11.

Is there a way to set up leagues in Yahoo so that commissioners don't actually have to be playing in their leagues? It might make sense to have someone from BG East commish BG west and vice versa...

Or just do league percentage vetoes, ya know, like normal leagues. Then there's no pressure on the commish.

Uh...no? Colm and I were involved in the Forte trade, not the Brees/LT trade in 20-man. That was Mmmhmm Tigers; a real life friend of mine, and that's when everyone flipped out/bitched. Though now, the trade looks a lot fairer since Brees has been average.

But yeah, I agree with Tyche about needing a league wide vote instead of just one hammer to accept/deny a trade.

Yeah league vote is always the way to go imo, if something slips through the commish can always fix it if it's ridiculous.

grant and jacobs, with no justification whatsoever. Those 3 seem like they're so close, but McCoy's the most hit-or-miss one of the 3.

lol, I just went to espn's thing and looked at it. Apparently those 3 are ranked 13, 14 and 15 (grant, jacobs, and mccoy in order) I just liked chicago's run D more than the falcons


edit: I guess thinking in that direction I just justified having Grant sitting though. Clements is going to be out too, so Jennings might actually get a TD for what, the second time this season?
