What are the odds that CJ can outscore Bironas by 22 tomorrow night?

Hey guess what, Scott had 150+ yards and some return yardage, and scored 7.

QQ the fuck more, learn to understand the scoring system rather than cry about people that catch 8 yard slants all day and no td's not dominating entire leagues.

THE SCORING IS LOW FOR EVERYONE.

The highest scoring non-qb (qb's utterly dominate the top 30 because you guys bitched about them not scoring enough, remember?) had 150 yards and 3 touchdowns playing as rb+qb.

The next like 15 non-qb top scorers alternate between the 2 or 3 multi-td rb's and a bunch of WR's and even a TE, a rb that caught 100 + rec td, then finally the 1 td backs start to come into the picture... among a *BUNCH* more wr.

Present a valid complaint or shut the fuck up, seriously, you've bitched a billion times and never had any meaningful reason.

Also, you should probably be aware of what the actual stats are when you talk shit about the scoring. When you're off on 1 by nearly 50%, and it's the one you've complained about repeatedly, you look pretty retarded.

Well.. Wes Welker dominates other leagues. Why should 20-man be any different?

I'm not saying I completely agree with him, but I'm not saying I disagree with him either. I do think 11 points for like.. what.. 15 catches, 192 yards or something? That's not something you see every day in the league, but I suppose it's fair if he didn't get in the endzone. Ah well. You should totally sub Fred Jackson into my lineup for me since I overslept. Wes Welker *exclusively* dominates ppr leagues.

He does not get the consistent yardage or scores to compete with the top tier in any non-ppr league.

He's exactly the kind of reason ppr leagues get silly. He's never touched 1200 yards in a season, has 16 CAREER td's (half of those in Brady's 1 ridiculous season), and yet he's just as valuable as any single player in a ppr league.

Should Cedric Benson be beating Chris Johnson because he carries the ball more?

I mean, never mind the fact that CJ does more with it, scores more td's, gets more yardage, and creates way more big plays, Benson gets the ball more!

That's a silly argument. Not about the PPR for Welker, but for Benson. It's not like leagues use 1 point per carry as a rule or some stupid shit. It's like 0.05 or something really small. Maybe 0.1? I dunno. It's really low.

Yeah, Welker in PPR leagues is beastly, but it's nice knowing you'll get points unlike Jennings and his random 2 catches 52 yards sort of game :/

I'm really just annoyed because the fact is it's a low scoring league because 20 man becomes non-competitive in higher scoring models, particularly in ppr. It's not like if someone had 200 yards rushing or passing and no td's they'd do twice as good... it's exactly the same for rb and passing it would be even less.

Welt just apparently has only played ffb for like 2 years and assumes every ffb league ever is ppr and jizzes @ 15 catches, and then doesn't realize that all scoring is moved downward from yahoo default anyway.

The way the league is designed is that you can keep up with big days from 1 guy with a good showing overall. If someone explodes for a ton of scores and yardage, they're still going to be a huge factor. But if you start adding in ppr, a guy like Welker can dominate a fantasy game without even doing anything near the end zone.

Just look at Moss-- 34 yards and 1 td. That's a so-so performance, saved by a td. But that was on 5 catches. In a 1 ppr league, that puts him on par with a rb that ran for 100 and a td but had no catches.

Or compare Welker to TO. Yardage is almost identical. TO scored, Welker did not.

In a 1 ppr league, Welker scores almost exactly the same, despite an inferior performance, simply because it took him more catches to do less.

Anyway, ppr vs non ppr is a side argument, I was just using the Benson comparison to illustrate why I think ppr is silly in general.

I'm just sick of "zomg dis dood scored teh low" and having to respond "derp derp so did everyone else."

Sooo... Saints continue their attempts at screwing me over by almost never giving the ball to Thomas at the goal line. Then I may have screwed myself over this week by playing Schaub over Rodgers on a whim just because I felt like going with ESPN's projections.

So now I'm down by about 53pts with Schaub and Slaton being my only hope. It's doable (Schaub projected to get about 50pts, Slaton about 11. Yes it's a high-scoring league), but still not happy about it at all.

How in the hell is a QB slated to get 50 points. What's the damn scoring for that league?

Haha like I said, it's set up for a ton of points... I guess to keep things interesting? Point per completion, -0.5pts per incompletion, 6 for TD, some sort of bonus for going over 300yds I think, etc etc. (For reference, Rodgers would have nabbed me 49pts this week... gah shoulda just stuck with him). That's pretty much why I went with Schaub this week... they've been fairly pass-happy and I'm hoping he passes all over the Titans like he did the last time they faced them.

And dammit Miz don't say that! I still have nightmares about Slaton's benching the very week that I had just traded for him.

    1. McCoy over Grant worked fine because I scored 135+ in both leagues I benched Grant.

    2. Every one person I've had look at my team in the 20-man has said, "Wow, what moron is running this thing?" or something similar.

    3. I don't agree with your counter-argument, and nor would most non-BG ppl (they will side with you over me, or at least make it sound that way even if they don't, so its a null point). The league was set up by monkeys throwing wrenches at a touch-screen monitor to adjust scoring. I just joined and kind of figured, "hey, these guys talk like they know whats up, so I'm sure the rules/scoring is fine". That kind of all went out the window when there was some absolutely retarded draft pick trading with absolutely no way of vetoing it. FAIL

3a. Yes, contrary to what some idiots will say (Tyche), I made all of my draft picks in the 20-man.

From what I've skimmed over reading the last couple of days, there are a few other leagues which are run badly through BG, so next year I will just steer clear as I have in the past. No loss to you or me (me).

Could have sworn you had posted somewhere talking about autodrafting Wes Welker or some shit in the 20-man. If not, my mistake. But boy, are you one whiney vindictive motherfucker. Even I've made a post saying that no league wide veto is silly, and that the 20-man scoring sucks, but christ, it isn't the subject of every post I make. Get the fuck over and don't play again. I don't think anyone will lose any sleep.

Had the worst week imaginable in fantasy this week. ATM I'm losing 4 games by less than a TD worth of points, and can only possibly win one of those

Not to mention the fact that he says himself that he didn't go over the rules of the league beforehand to make sure he understands them and is ok with them. Nothing to complain about if you didn't take the time to read through all of that.

For comparisons sake, my league is PPR. Welker went into this week ranked something like 4-6 among WRs... despite missing a few games earlier in the season. His game this week should almost certainly bust him into the top 2.

    The best setup:

    .5 PPR
    0 PPC
    4 Passing TD
    6 Rushing/Receiving TD

This is pretty much the setup for any large, large $ leagues. ($500+ entry)

Is 15 catches in a single game honestly worth 0 points? Hell to the no.

15 catches for 0 yrds should honestly be worth 0 points. Who the fuck cares if you make a catch if it isn't productive? Not using PPR gives credit to WR that fight for YAC and break loose by running solid routes and making the right reads. (<--real football talk)

I like having negative points attached to carries for RB as well though for the same reason. If someone has 50yrds rushing but they're averaging 2.2 yrds/carry, they shouldn't be worth shit.

    Several holes in your counter:

    1. Welker leads the league in YAC.

    2. 99% of his catches are for > 0 yards.

    3. The catches he gets lead to first downs, clock control, etc

3a. These first downs lead to wins and field goals/touchdown opportunities for other players. This makes them valuable; 0 has no value by definition.
