Fantasy Football 2009: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Trade 'Em

The showdown between Headspace and Akiyama in BGP is going to be epic. Headspace up 2 with Forte and Olsen vs Jason Campbell.

I wanna play headpsace in the championship just because we've been jawing it out over the past few weeks.

I got lucky in BGE to make the playoffs, but not going to get lucky in the playoffs. Up just 5 against Tyr's tam with Ap left to play.

I'm done in BGP. No way Campbell outscores Olsen/Forte like he needs to. I made the mistake in sitting Matt Ryan, but it's not like I thought he'd own today.

I'm guessing you start 2 of each and a flex? Your RB options after MJD are weak, I would definitely start Jacobs over the other 3.

Eddie Royal isn't even worth consideration, he hasn't had more than 3 pts since Week 9. Jennings has been very solid of late and is on a great passing O, start him for sure. After that, Crabtree is your best bet with a great match-up against Detroit. I would probably start Bowe over Caddy, Hightower or Bush at the flex.

Wow lol 6 carries for one yard for Jacobs... expected a bit more than that. Any chance he had for a good day was pretty much eliminated by the Giants playing like shit as a whole, couldn't have seen that coming after they tore up the Skins last week.

Caddy was a monster and carried the Bucs, didn't expect the Saints to let him run all over them. In OT they gave it to him on almost every play and he took them down the field.

If Forte and Olsen can't get 9.5+.. you deserve to lose. It was my mistake though for not going with Ryan against the matchup in comparison to Campbell, though so I deserved to lose that one. :/ I'm in trouble in IDP too. Not sure about 2QB, and I'm sure I have BGE in the bag, but knowing my luck, here comes 50+ points from the other team.

I won BGP game despite starting Ricky Williams and Maroney, who combined for a grand total of about 8 points. The expectations between the two was ~30 points. Luckily, Atlanta D, Todd Heap, and Tom Brady picked up the slack.

Won the BG 20 man league, close one Tyr... somewhat makes up for the tank job I did in my own league, winning only 1 of my final 6 and missing the playoffs

Man... where the fuck was my outscoring 2nd best of the week by 40-50 points in IDP when it actually mattered lol? And the insane part is I left another 12 points on the bench.

It was pretty much a 2 man race all year, we went 1-1 against each other during regular season and he outscored me by 27 points on the year.

Kinda pathetic ending, but whatever, can't complain about winning a championship handily.

I was losing 86 - 50 going into last night. He had Minnesota's defense and I had Favre and Peterson. I ended up winning the championship 93 - 86. I went to bed last night because I figured I was done. Yay me.

So, in one of my leagues, we've got a tie in a playoff game, and no pre-established way to sort out tiebreakers in playoff games. One guy has the best record (therefore higher playoff seed) and won the regular season head-to-head meeting, and the other guy has a higher overall points for the season and higher bench scoring this week. Any suggestions on a 5th tiebreaker, or which would you guys give the priority to?

First win for me in about 10 years, been that long since I've been in a championship game as well when I got hosed by 2/3 of my team being rested for the playoff's. Feels good.

Our league was pretty quiet. One of the biggest trash talkers had a god awful draft, went 1-12 and his one win was by less then a point. That pretty much killed the trash talk right there. Had a lot of shuffling though of rosters, especially on the Defense end to try to squeeze a few more points out each week.
