Why is my fucking patcher so slow?

3rd time trying to patch moving, same result, I download 5gig files etc in less then 2 hours usually....what the fuck is going on.

That sounds like the very first patch from starting the game for the first time.

You need to open ports or your firewall / virus software firewall is blocking aion patcher. Just go through fileplanet even if you have to make a free account and wait in line. Even w/ no firewall blockage or problems... fileplanet will be 10x faster

I`m actually having the same problem, if anyone can help. Except.. 1) this is my first time installing/downloading the game. Followed directions directly off the back of the Aion preorder card. And 2) I WAS at 41% (after a day and a half) but Vista came up saying there was an error with how it (the installer) was running and closed it... so now I`m starting alll over again.

p.s.: i`m a torrent newb, if any responses possibly concerning torrents could please be broken down to newb level.

Took me like 4 days to finish DLing it. Thankfully already finished patching it for Friday and holy shit it works on win 7 32bit now. I guess patch 1.5 fixed the GG issues.

The torrent is fairly well seeded and finished overnight for me. Def the way to go IMO.

I dl'd via ncsoft loader 2x and both times got errors and ended up having to dl the torrent.

I opened it in Azerus/Vuze and it seems to be going slow again, is there a better torrent.. thing.. to use?

Um.... Not to sound like an ass... but what do you click on to install any other product? If you bothered to look at the files there is 90% of the time a "setup.exe" file. Has nothing to do w/ being a torrent noob, has everything to do w/not even bothering to look for yourself

Well, yeah, I noticed it was a .zip.torrent I downloaded, but I`ve only ever used Azerus once before a very long long time ago. I was under the impression i was downloading the client from fileplanet, not downloading a torrent to download in azerus.

But, after doing a crapload of updates and repeatedly restarting azerus, the updates stopped and it`s downloading pretty fast. Thanks for the help

FP is a direct client DL. there is a 3g for those going from 1.0 - 1.5 and a 9g for a full client install.

If you already downloaded the full client, you don't need to use the torrent.
