The first two times I did it I fucked up the hostage shot. Hit the hostage the first time, finally got there again and just aimed for the guys leg to be safe and was greeted by a nice "REAL VETERANS GET HEADSHOTS, NOT FLESH WOUNDS". I cried.

The level 60 and 80 bosses from the Via Infinito dungeon from FFX-2 (Concherer and Chac respectively.) These bosses, even when oversouled still required something gimmicky to win and you really could not fight normally (It was either a party of THF/WARs stalling Chac, Cat Nip or bust.) Ironic thing was how the level 100 bosses, Paragon and Trema, were actually easier than those two because they allowed for more freedom in what dresspheres you could use.

not being retarded makes FFX easymodo unless you do NSG or other various player-induced challenges

hardest boss fight i've had recently was the duke-nukem motherfucker in RE5, i've never played a RE game (i played 2 when i was really young, don't remember anything about it) and me and a friend had no idea what to do for the longest time. then i finally picked up the rocket launcher and it was sooo easy, just little tricks

then that quicktime cutscene at the end was fucking stupid, we did it perfectly the first time after having basically spent 2-3 hours on the boss, and my friend totally missed the last input because we both thought it was done so we got up and did a sweet ass dance.

To beat all of the monsters easily you had to erase all your stats on your sphere grid and replace them all with +5 stat spheres that you get from beating the really hard monsters. You end up with everyone doing 99,999 dmg per melee hit, with Wakka and Tidus being the best characters due to their multiple hit over drives.

I had issues beating Young in Last Remnant in Base 5. It took me FOREVER before I could finally down him, and it sucks if you choose him last out of the 6 Base Battles because there is another fight after you down the boss in the last base, because if you end up losing on that fight, you have to redo the whole base battle.

    Grats.

If you're up for MW2 MP with my usual group, or spec ops on XBL, let me know. We normally run 3-6 man groups for some ground war or TDM fun.

It's not just the AI, but that you can die and spawn somewhere near only terrible weapons, putting you entirely at the mercy of the random number generator. Bad couple of respawns = fucked on that challenge.

The AI is superb. It knows where you're at all times, and instantly can 1hit KO you if it's a darksim. If you play in Perfect Darkness mode with all stats set to max, you have a FPS that requires more tactical and aiming finesse than the hardest mode in almost any game. It's 1 hit KO's with the enemies sporting over shields and 100% accuracy.

Its going to be FUN doing that challenge on XBLA PD when it comes out. The other best part about the AI is that it's smart with weapon choice and actually goes for certain spawns when it knows the timer is up. Even worse was the mauler challenge. Oh god, the Horror.

Actually, in FFT the fight previous to

    Spoiler: show
when you fight Gafgarion the first time

was probably one of the more frustrating ones for me, as well as

    Spoiler: show
the rescue Ovelia fight at Golgorand Execution Site

Both of those fights make me want to play it again though

Pretty sure (actually 100% sure) I didn't do that. The game's really not hard.

I really wished the other zodiac demons but up the kind of fight Velius did.

FUCK! I remember I broke a PSX controller because I was one of those guys that got caught by surprised and saved in-between. I had to start a brand new game because of that asshole.

Glad to see God Hand mentioned. Friggin' love that game, but oh so difficult. Somehow I managed to get through the whole game on the hardest difficulty though...except for one fight. I never could beat that goddamn arena match #51. T_T

Basically a mirror match against the double god-hand version of yourself. You have enough life to take 2-4 hits and he's fast, random, and his lifebar is far too long. The fight's more of an endurance contest (10-ish minute fight for a normal person, can't make more than a mistake or two) and I'd usually screw up about 1/3 the way through.

As for CoD Mile High Club...hahah. I can close my eyes and see the first 3/4 of that run in my head (roughly up to the point where you get the extra flashbangs and after that it was almost all luck for me). I used to be able to do the mission fairly reliably on the 360, which is pretty amazing for someone who really, and I mean really, sucks at FPSs.

There was this NES game called Trojan. I guess it was like a primitive version of Castlevania.

Your health bar starts at 10 and every time the final boss hits you, you lose 7. His movement and attacks were completely random. No way to heal. Beating him was just a matter of random luck.
