Hey Guys,
I'm swapping out an old power supply for a new Corsair 850 HX, and I have a bit of a problem (i think?). The PSU is modular, so the SATA Connectors & 4pin Molex Connectors are modular. I always went by color scheme previously, and these cables are all black, so I can't any longer. My basic question, I've daisy chained my 4 case fans onto 1 4-pin molex however without the color scheme to follow i'm worried I will be screwing something up. Are my worries unfounded? I read through the manual that came with my 850 HX and it lists the usual DC Output etc, but nothing about what each wire is designated.
(image, the 4 pin molex is what i'm talking about)Spoiler: show
I've got my 4 case fans hooked up red to red --- black to black, all the way down then I've got them on the 4 pin molex. I always took the red wire of the case fan to the yellow wire and black to black, on my old PSU. I think I'm just overthinking it, but wires without color leave me curious to say the least. I appreciate any help and/or assistance that you guys can lend, I'll post pictures of my updated rig when it's finished. (*'o')b
