To be fair, after the Moore fiasco Bertuzzi was never the same. I truly believe after that he was scared to be the player he once was and has limited himself since then. He was terrible at the Turin Olympic games as well and since then he's been worse.

And to be fair, he is the sole cause of the Moore fiasco. It wasn't a tragic accident, it was an intentional punch to a defenseless opponent's spine/neck/back of the head. Lets not give him any pity or cut him any slack here...

Well if you've actually played hockey, which you probably haven't, aggression and hostility are quite the common things. Still doesn't excuse him, but he was not in total control of himself at the time.

As Ive mentioned numerous times, I do play hockey, and I have the whereabouts to not clock anyone in the back of the head. We play in a no-contact gloves/knee pads only league and at the MOST I'll run into someone along the boards for the ball, and thats rare.

He had no self-control in a situation where we should've had complete control.

If you want to go into justification you can look at Moore injuring Naslund earlier in the game, but it's still not even close to reason for the boneheaded move Bertuzzi made. I'm sure if it hadn't ended Moore's career it would just be a very dirty and dumb play, but the way it turned out made it inexcusable.

Also comparing a casual deck hockey league to the NHL isn't really a great comparison. Your point stands that he should have had more self-control, but saying you don't hit people in the back of the head in a no-contact league isn't saying much.

Also already had one huge clusterfuck in the 1st period Wings/Ducks, came out correctly except the Wings have have avoided a penalty they deserved. Bertuzzi and Holmstrom doing their best to be useless by taking penalties while on the PP.

Yeah, the Wings offseason moves looking terrible at the moment. Hudler or Samuelsson gone for Williams (LTIR) and Bertuzzi (useless) equivalent salary. Eaves was a good pickup but... ugh. Sammy's 21 pts in particular look quite nice right about now.

Rosival, I have no fucking clue what happened. The first 2 post lockout years with the Rangers he was a +45, with 15G and 55A.


The last 3 years have been:
22G, 63A and a -8 Rating.

He doesn't have a no trade clause in his contract. His cap hit is 5mil, which is reasonable. The return won't be a ton, but someone will take him.
