also it's always funny to hear the "DE-TROIT SUCKS!" chant, but the best is the nights when they're up by a few goals in a slow game, and the crowd starts chanting it, even if they aren't playing Detroit.

They made up for the non-call on Abby by calling him for holding when he didn't do anything worthy of it after laying the hit on Kane.
I'll be happy if the margin is 2 or less on Wednesday.
They have been at least being competitive despite being decimated w/ injury/free agency loss, but not tonight...it's really odd, it used to be cool to go to games vs. the Wings, even though it was pretty much a guaranteed loss it was still cool to watch them skate, they way they ran the offense was really fluid and crazy to watch.
Granted the current Hawks team is also a lot better than they were then so it's not all due to a decline on Detroit's side, but it's still weird.
Great week for hockey:
Pens go undefeated, 3-0-0, including a sweep of a home-and-home with rival Phailures.
Win both my fantasy league matchups, including a stone cold stunner on Abraxas' team.
Fuck me, canucks lose a golden opportunity to move up the standings.
I'm calling it now, Bieksa will not be a canuck by seasons end.
The Hawks are miles better than they were 2 years ago, the Wings will be about the same once the 8 regulars we have out get back, at that point it should be a great game. It's funny because I was thinking that today's game looked the exact opposite as most games have for the past several years as a Wings fan.
Also fuck fantasy hockey, it took away any stats I had for players that I dropped AFTER the week was over, so instead of winning 8-2-1 I won 5-4-2.
Abraxas is gonna have a tough week ahead of em, spanked by the Rangers and the Penguins >.> Poor guy.
Snap, last night put Hawks on top of the West, I didn't realize they passed SJ/LA.
Koolaid = Badkarma
RANGERS DEFEAT A FAILING FLYERS TEAM AND NOW THEY DON'T SUCK ANYMORE AND HE FEELS COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO TALK SHIT LOLZ
Sorry, I'll just leave that kind of nonsense to Sepukku for now on.
last post edited cuz i didnt know that was BK. wb brah
thanks ivaden
Don't look now, but...
After opening with several losses, No Beaton Mark Eaton is in 3rd, sitting just out of 2nd. Give It To Gaborik is in 2nd, playing Ratahabs, who's MTL-heavy team plays 3 weak teams this week (ATL, CAR, TOR). Hack and Slash plays West Coast Express, whos had some good goaltending the past week or two (5 goalie wins and sub-2.00 GAA during last weeks matchup). If NYR sputter out some more 2-1 games - since West Coast Express has Lundqvist - I could make a move into 2nd, close to 1st.
PS: Pens play Devils tonight. Fucking hate New Jersey hockey...
That's all gibberish to me, my idea of fantasy hockey is drinking so much during a game that I just kicked a random guy in the dick because I thought he was Holmstrom
Hey Sep, remember when you said Kesler was under appreciated?
Yeah, here's an article by the Vancouver media comparing Henrik Sedin and Kesler to Crosby and Malkin.

I have to laugh at these stories, I'm a fairly realistic if hopeful Canucks fan but to compare the two centres to Crosby and Malkin is reaching.
Say it ain't so, NHL. Renaming the postseason awards is just a terrible idea.

Must have been a weird glitch when I looked at it, now it is back to what it was supposed to be.
Also for my personal enjoyment and to remember better days:

That's awesome.
Kesler gets no attention league-wide, never hear about him here.
Also, read an article on yahoo.com's NHL page suggesting retiring Lemieux's 66 league-wide. Majority of attached pollers voted yes so far.
