Well as of 2 hours ago, we have 10 teams signed up and BrillCS remaining to sign up his team, so we need a 12th team to even things up. Any volunteers or ideas?

So lastnight I was chatting with a friend after class, and in the midst of the conversation, I offhandedly said "hockey season starts next week"

I'd consider it if you're desperate but I've never fantasy drafted before and I'm not sure how much time I'd have to stay with it over the season.

I'll keep you in mind Palin. I'm giving BrillCS til Friday morning to enter his team, otherwise I'm banning his team and just keeping the league at 10 teams. Its nothing against Brill, hes got great taste in music and is a fellow Pittsburgher, but if he registers his team, say, Saturday, I have less than 24 hours to find and get registered that 12th team to even things out again, otherwise we can't draft and start our league. I'm not too worry about his dedication to following his team through the season, as I'm told hes been pretty busy lately, being on vacation and now being stuck back at work, and Pittsburgh is just a freaking mess right now with the G-20 meeting in town.

We need team #12 by Sunday. We have Palin volunteering, but he says he probably won't be able to actively manage his team throughout the season. If no one else on BG volunteers, we have 3 options:
1. Publically advertise on the Yahoo boards for a stranger for member #12.
2. Someone gets someone they know to join to fill the slot. I'm considering to prevent collusion that if this happens, the person recommending them and that person are not allowed to trade each other during the season.
3. We take Palin and hope he can log on with some regularity and frequency.

I could probably find someone if we need for option #2. Also isn't there some way to veto trades either by popular vote or the league organizer in some leagues? So unfair trades would get shot down.

I'm down with Palin joining. It would be cool to have only BG members that are hockey fans involved as it gives this thread another nice trash talking angle. If he doesn't actively manage his team he's really the only one that loses out correct?

True, and if hes the only one who lets it slack, its fine, but if 3-4 people here stop managing their teams for whatever reason (I don't know why, it can becoming addicting), itll kill the whole league.
