Penguins looked pathetic last night. They shouldn't need a third period comeback against a team like the Oilers. Once again they can thank Jordan Staal for showing up when apparently some of the players never left the team bus.

Fleury played good again, and we got the two points. Thats all I cared about going into the game.

Classy move by all the Edmontonians to applaud the non-Oiler, non-Canadian Olympians on the Penguins (Gonchar, Malkin, Orpik) during the ceremony thing.

Malkin looked a lot better than he has been lately, too. That's always a good sign. Lovejoy looks like he could be ready for the NHL by next year, but I disagree with our idiot commentators saying he's probably ready now. He's way too hesitant to do things he should be doing. I'm not sure of our defensive situation once we hit the off-season other than Gonchar and Letang becoming free agents, but Lovejoy will probably be a regular.

Lovejoy isn't ready. His skating is good but his defensive presence is seriously lacking. His offensive presence is meh at best right now. Another year splitting time between Wilkes-Barre and Pittsburgh should get him ready.

Fleury day-to-day with fractured finger suffered during last night's game. He finished with it too. What a trooper. No wonder the team rallied during the 3rd. Article in the PPG about Uncle Billy rallying the troops, causing the performance change for the third.

Dunno about the rest of you guys but out here in the Chicago market, ever since Comcast purchased GE's stock of NBC, we've been getting random hockey games from around the league out here. Tonight we're getting Caps/Leafs on CSN but earlier in the week we had Sharks/Kings. This is cool as hell, add in with VS and then local Hawk games I've been having hockey on pretty much every night this week lol.

Yeah, but our defense is going to be screwed by free agency at the end of the season. Gonchar, Letang, Eaton, McKee, Lovejoy, and Skoula (lol) all free agents (with Letang being a restricted free agent at least). Shit sucks.
