Yeah, Gonchar didn't even get fined.
Yeah, Gonchar didn't even get fined.
Nynja you seemed to really get into writing that... you write erotic literature about Sidney Crosby in your free time? Its ok, a lot of girls and gay guys do...
Nice win again for the Hawks today, and now we come to the game of the week tomorrow...Hawks vs Detroit. Gonna be a tougher game than the last two since the Wings have some of their injured players back that weren't there last time. Still hoping for a win but the Hawks better show up to play and not overlook the importance of this game.
Wings fucking jobbed today, 2nd Dallas goal should have been goalie interference, and about 4 uncalled high-sticks, a few of them blatant. And to top it off, a SO goal that was ruled by the refs to be a no goal, reviewed in Toronto and ruled a goal without any conclusive camera angles.
Big game tonight for Vancouver. We get Pavol Demitra back in a game against the champs. Looking forward to it, hopefully Luongo plays better than he has of late.
I hate Vancouver-Pittsburgh games. I love Vancouver but they're never been good to me. Last year Luongo got hurt in Pittsburgh and I missed Crosby's first game in Vancouver when they had the shootout.
Hoping tonights will be amazing though. Pens are 3-1-0 on their West Coast road trip so far, but our 3rd string goalie is playing tonight (Brent Johnson and Marc Andre Fleury both hurt).
3 game winless streak for the canucks, what better way to break it then against the 3rd string goalie. Fuck Matt Cooke btw.
DID YOU SEE THAT PLAY MALKIN MADE?! I mean, the actual goal itself was laughable, but the backcheck, steal, deke, and give and go that led to it was pretty fucking sick.
Dammit i'm missing the game
will be watching 2nd period onwards
Nothing like having the best (arguably) goalie in the league suck fucking ass during a shootout.
HOoooooooooooly shit!!!
Thank god they pulled John Curry... I thought they were gonna leave him in to keep our 4th string one-day-amateur-tryout goalie on the bench. He was going down the Stephen Valliquette road REALLY FAST.
Super classy move by the Vancouver media members to name him the #3 star of the game - he didn't even know why he was being asked to go back out on the ice and had to quickly grab someone else's blocker/glove (which he had on opposite hands) and went out and acknowledged the crowd which seemed to be cheering pretty loud for him. Also... his jersey # is usually 70 but the Pens couldn't get a #70 Pens Jersey into Vancouver in time due to them being typed up in Customs. Also, he was using Fleury's leg pads during the game for the same reason.
The moral of last night's story is: goalies with rhyming names are never good. Ever.
On a more serious note, I've always thought Curry was pretty decent, I don't know what the fuck happened last night. Crazy bounces a few times just absolutely deflated him, and our defense was not helping one bit. I do hope Shero keeps an eye on Pechurskiy (actual spelling of his name btw), but we have 5 goalies within our club right now so I dunno. Pretty sure Curry is a free agent after next season, Johnson is a free agent after this season. So who knows.
My god Pierre McGuire is fucking annoying and dumb to boot.
For the American fans, that missed out report by Don Maclean and Colin Campbell during intermission about the Auger/Burrows incident.

No class Maclean, focusing on Burrows rather then the ref issue.
What a joke of an interview.
Glad he mentioned the Dallas SO goal, since I found out the linesman was the one who ruled in a goal, not the ref who was sitting about 3 feet away from the line. There is so much shit the refs can do in the league, seemingly without any accountability.
One of the worst interviews ever on Colin Campbell's part and one of the worst pieces of journalism I've ever seen on Don's behalf.
