So my wife got a virus at her work the other day. I read my email today while I'm at work and of course, what happens? I get spammed by Internet Security 2010. So no big deal I can handle that much. Download malwarebytes and run the full scan. On a work pc. For a large corporation. Five hours and over one million files later I am able to clean it. 28 infected files. A migraine the size of Sepukku's mom's ass. It's been a shitty ass day.

And yes, people do still play. The PS3 version has had a resurgence due to them patching up all the BS and then releasing a DLC pack that included 5 new maps, about a dozen new guns, a weapon specialization system (one can specialize in sniping, shotguns, pistols, etc and earn attachments, bonuses, and guns unique to those specialists), and an entirely new game mode.

Trolling the Fuck or Duck thread is pretty fun, I'll be honest guys. Those hopeless romantics think porn is the devil and you rip on their artsy model pictures and they really get Kraken Club Up in Arms at you.

Phoenix didn't even look like they cared. When Stafford (I think) made that hit in the first period that took out one of their players, not a single one of them even came to defend their fallen player. The crowd didn't even react.

Sorry, they need to be sold off to a city that cares, or hire some players that care. That whole "Save the Coyotes" shit was obviously bullshit.

I play recreational scrimmages at my college and these kids come around their first time playing and take like 3 min shifts. Don't get me wrong we have like an hour and change to play.. but play for like 1min and get the fuck off the ice, if you aren't panting by 1-1 1/2 mins on the ice you're doing it wrong haha

Also - saw the captain of Team Canada's WJC team on youtube and apparently hes REALLY dirty. Like Steve Downie when he was on the Flyers. He had multiple horrible hits in the WJC caught on video and apparently now he just put some guy in the hospital with brain trauma from a deliberate elbow on a center ice hit he lined up 5 seconds and 100 feet in advance.

The hit is a little more than a minute in. Seems like a real cheap shot initially, and it gets worse when the defenseman starts convulsing on the ice. Jesus, I hope he's okay.

IMO, Cormier should never play another game for the QMJHL, that was a dirty, dirty hit.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has suspended Rouyn-Noranda Huskies forward Patrice Cormier indefinitely for his hit on Quebec Remparts defenceman Mikael Tam during overtime of Quebec's 3-2 shootout win on Sunday afternoon.

QMJHL disciplinary Raymond Bolduc confirmed Monday that an announcement on the official length of the suspension will be made once the disciplinary process has been completed.

''It's a great game and situations like this hurt (it) tremendously,'' said Remparts head coach Patrick Roy ''and we don't need those types of shots.''

Cormier, who was Canada's captain at the IIHF World Junior Hockey tournament earlier in the month, came off the bench for a line change and hit Tam in the head with an elbow.

Tam, an 18-year-old defenceman with the Remparts, went into convulsions on the ice due to the hit and was immediately taken to a local hospital where he remains as a result of brain trauma.

Remparts spokesperson Nicole Bouchard said that Tam underwent a brain scan after the game and that a second scan on Monday morning showed no deterioration in his condition.

According to Quebec 800, the radio station that broadcasts Remparts games, Tam was released from hospital Monday evening.

Cormier was given a major penalty for charging and was ejected from the game.

''One thing I didn't like was the way he left the ice,'' Roy said. ''He didn't show that he felt sorry for what he did, he was arguing with the referee, and when he was asked to leave the ice, he was looking at our bench.''

Roy explained how it was extremely difficult for his players to continue the game following the hit.

''There were a lot of guys crying on the bench and we had about a minute and 28 seconds left in overtime to play. I don't think anybody had their mind (in the game).

''I said to the guys, and I felt bad saying it, I said; let's win this one for him and the guys responded well.''

Quebec provincial police questioned witnesses at the rink after the game. Police spokesman Marie-Josee Ouellet said the incident is under investigation to see if there are grounds for criminal charges.

World junior teammate Angelo Pietrangelo came to Cormier's defence, saying although he'd only seen video of the hit once, intent to injure is not Cormier's style.

''He's an emotional player and I don't think he intended to hurt anyone, he's not that type of person,'' Pietrangelo said. ''If you know him off the ice, he's a great guy overall.''

Stefan Della Rovere, another world junior teammate of Cormier's, echoed those sentiments.

''I know Patrice personally and he never wants to intentionally hurt anyone. He's a hard-working player that plays both ends of the ice real well. For him to give cheap shots, I don't think its part of his game.''

The 19-year old Cormier is no stranger to controversy. In an exhibition game prior to the World Junior tournament, the second round draft choice of the New Jersey Devils in 2008 nailed Sweden's Anton Rodin with an elbow to the head.

I was gonna make a post about this yesterday, but figured it'd be "WTF, Canadian Jr hockey? GTFO, not an NHL topic."
Apparently Mikael Tam is gonna be ok, but that's not the point. It shouldn't have to take someone getting crippled (or worse), for people to be charged off the ice for shit like that.

I dozed off watching the Calgary/SanJose game cuz I was feeling sick last night. Woke up to hear the TV with the crowd chanting "We want Ten!" and figured I was just delirious.

Wasn't really an option, lol. We had a small turnout the other night and the coaches were calling the changes, there were only 10 people per side so 2 lines, the shifts were 2m~ each and I was back out by the time I could catch my breath.

It's an adult instructional class and it ranges from people who have played for a long time that just want to practice to people who had no clue what the fuck hockey was up until 2 weeks ago, my first shift people were terrible on their positioning so I was chasing hard to cover open spots on D, by the time I finished 2 like that I felt like I was about to puke on the ice.
