my decision to get Comcast over fios for my house was based solely on the fact that Verizon doesnt get the CN8 channel, which shows away games when the sixers are at home the same night.

Aaaand the Wings blow another 2 goal lead to let a team take them into OT, and this time do not win. 1 point is good since it gives them 8th place over Calgary, but goddamn the team really needs to win and to make them 2 point games vs other teams in the West.

I ordered the collector's edition from Amazon and it shipped yesterday. I'm hoping it's one of those Amazon arrival estimates where "Arrives January 29" really means it arrives today... I've been replaying the first for the last two weeks straight.

On an NHL note, the Habs have me absolutely confounded this year. Hit a streak and win win win, then lose lose lose. At least the Caps are still going strong. Ovechkin held to 0 points on 10 shots... Another huge win last night, watched the first two periods with my jaw wide open like I was Sep crouching in front of a Fathead of Crosby. We've got some unreal offensive swagger going on right now, rolling three really good lines. Another +2 for Ovie, Green and Schultz. I never thought I'd be going into February more worried about our goaltending than defense, but here I am. Not sure how much longer Carlson will need in Hershey or if Alzner gets sent back when Pothier is ready, but if we open the '10/'11 season with Green-Schultz, Carlson-Alzner, Poti-Morrisonn or Pothier, I'm fucking ecstatic. Even John "a slower Hal Gill" Erskine is looking halfway decent.

Also, Jeff Schultz > Mark Eaton.

Glad to see the Hawks end their slide, that goalie for Edmonton looked completely frazzled, really sketchy when handling the puck behind the goal, lucky that game wasn't 7-2 as many times as he was caught out of position.
