Phaneuf fights 5 minutes in to his first game in Toronto, Sjostrom gets an assist on Toronto's first goal. Calgary got shutout. VERY small sample size so far, I know, but Brian Burke looks smart so far!

Ratapata/Thoronos - how questionable was Burrows' goaltending interference call with 50 seconds left and the Canucks down 1? I wasn't watching, but reviewing the scores for the 7pm games that ended, that seems like a controversy waiting to explode post-Auger.

We're not a contender this year...I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the ride, hopefully see them win another game at home (I'm probably only going to like 3-4 more this season) and hope Sather doesn't do anything epically stupid.

Yeah... but I suspect all the refs will have a defend-their-own mentality vs. him the rest of the season, perhaps his career. Goaltender interference during the final minute of a 1 goal game better be pretty severe to get called - like barreling into the goalie or directly causing a goal (waving it off + the 2 minutes). Anything even remotely questionable/ticky-tacky should be overlooked in that situation. Makes me think of certain calls during the Vikings-Saints game, ahem....
