I still am not getting the NHL Center Ice preview on FiOS Q_Q. Did it start already or do they wait until Oct. 1?

I read somewhere that it starts at the start of the season. If you can't see any of the openers I would call them.
How do you guys wash your jerseys? I've always drycleaned it. Can I just throw it in the wash too? lol
I always get mine drycleaned -- especially now that a few have signatures on them.
On another note: Arnwulf -- what's the rub on Filatov? I know he tore it up in the AHL last season, and he figures to be a shoe in to play in Columbus this season. Projections? Opinions?
On TSN they had a Fantasy hockey draft today, and Pierre McGuire picked Filatov.
NYI picked up Robbie Schremp off of waivers from the Oilers today. I predict that'll come back to haunt them as well.
Not surprised Schremp got picked up
his attitude and work ethic has constantly be called into question, but his talent level is still pretty high. Really nothing for the Islanders to lose. Who knows; maybe him being in an environment where he is expected to do a lot right off the bat (if that's the case) will straighten him out.
Well, we watched him go from a "Surefire Top 5 pick!" in the 2004 draft, to the Oilers drafting him #25 overall in the first round. He was skating circles around everyone in the OHL, where his last year he had 57 Goals in 57 games. But people started to question how cocky he was. Of course his first NHL camp set him straight and he spent 2 more seasons in Junior before going to the AHL. But Craig MacTavish absolutely hated him.
Last year he got called up for 4 games, and had 3 assists. His last game was against San Jose and the Oilers got destroyed. Not surprising at all, considering SJ is awesome in the regular season. MacTarded blamed the loss on him, said he wasn't ready for NHL caliber hockey and sent him back to the AHL.
However, the entire AHL staff were part of the "good-ol'-boys" group from the 1980's Oilers and MacTavish not liking him carried over to the AHL where he was benched for awhile.
tl;dr He was never given a legit shot here.
This isn't another case of the Oilers' mighty First Round drafting skills. (Jason Bonsignore, Nick Stajduhar, Steve Kelly, Michel Riesen etc)
Haha you actually mentioned Bonsignore. I wonder how his used car lot is working out for him now. Two more days gentlemen. Two more days until my beloved Penguins hit the ice against the hated New York Rangers. I predict Gaborik will blow out his ACL and dislocate his shoulder after colliding with Iceburgh inbetween periods in the hallway back to the dressing room![]()
I'm very interested to see how this year plays out as a whole. This offseason was one of the busier ones in recent memory with a lot of decent players heading to new locales. Should be a fun year to watch. Before the Crosby hating, Philly insulting, Canadien bashing I will say I wish your beloved teams of origin luck. Now let the shit talking begin!
Like i said i don't like the habs season start
First 2 game are fine Toronto and Buffalo but after that we going to the West for edmonton vancouver and calgary, and those came starts at like 10PM my time, (i dont wanna sleep at 1AMwhen i work the other day at 5 lol)
Filatov had a shaky start to the preseason but the last 2 games it seemed like the proverbial "light" came on for him. He started playing much better defensively, even getting lots of compliments from the coaches. He worked VERY hard in the offseason to bulk up a bit (I think he's up to 180ish range now), he said he's committed to becoming a great NHL player and a lot of people believe him.
He's on the big boy roster to start the season and I don't think they were ever on the fence to send him down again. He's been playing well on the 2nd line with Vermette and Voracek, so I expect that's where he'll stay unless he starts to underperform. He's probably due for a solid season, I'd say 50-60 points is definitely possible considering he's on a line with 2 excellent passers.
Dunno about you, but official jerseys rock. I throw mine in the wash inside-out and so far have gotten blood stains and chicken wing sauce out of the white fabric on my Sabres road jersey.
For you Ratapata:
(From ESPN.com's Eastern Confrence preview)
"Signing Jaroslav Spacek and Hal Gill for a combined $6 million? Why not give Komisarek $5 million and a washing machine a million dollars and put the washing machine on the ice in front of Carey Price every three minutes?"
:D
And is it just me, or are Canadians REALLY biased in their views of hockey? Don Cherry's xenophobia aside, the current poll on NHL.com is "Which opening day game are you most looking forward to?" and TOR-MTL (two non-playoff teams almost suredly) is beating Boston-Washington and Calgary-Vancouver. Obviously, Calgary-Vancouver is a canadian matchup too, but everyone in the hockey community knows that Canada is 6 inches up Toronto and Montreal's asses and anyone who would rather watch MTL-TOR than BOS-WSH or CLG-VAN without being from Montreal or Toronto is seriously impaired.
Tanguay. Tampa Bay. It even rhymes!
Oh by the way BAM!

Last but not least, for all you haters.

In Canada there is 2 big rivalties Vancouver Vs Calgary and Montreal Vs Toronto.
Why simple Back in the 90's the big revalty was Montreal Vs Quebec, because both team were closes, which made a Fight between the 2 teams. Now with Quebec gone, Montreal fans needs a new team to hate and it's the leafs. Why?
Montreal vs Toronto, first is close towns, 2) Games are always full of actions and tigh score, aka lots of intensity. And in season when they play like 8 games against each other it's always like 5win 3 loose or 4-4 for both teams, which of course makes the fan go we are better blah blah.
Latly montreal started a revalty with Boston too, since Montreal and Boston fought alot during playoffs and exept last year Montreal owned Boston in most playoffs.
So yeah that's is how we are in quebec![]()
Hey brill, Gaborik is gonna have 3 points against the pens on Friday just you wait.
