Canada said that they will make both goalies play at first

So luongo goals today and Brodeur will goal next game.

But they still didn't announce which one will play most game.

Honestly both deserve the first goal spot

Luongo cuz the game are at vancouver
and brodeur because it might be his last olympic

I think Brodeur won't flourish at these Olympics if Canada gives him these Games beyond a game or two for Luongo in qualifying. He's too old, his continued success is a product of the system he plays in in New Jersey. Hes still good, but hes not the most qualified goalie to go up against all star teams in Russia and Sweden, and hes not as capable of "stealing games" as Luongo (anymore - he used to be).

EDIT: Then again, I'm a huge Vancouver/Luongo fan.

Looking at the Canadian roster, I'm wondering which line is the checking line? The Getzlaf line or the Iginla line? Either way that's the most ridiculously talented checking line ever.

Also it's being reported that Gaborik is being Gaborik and won't be playing in the first two games for Slovakia.

I'm surprised that Lidstrom isn't on the top D pairing and that Franzen isn't with Zetterberg... I would imagine the pre-existing chemistry would be a good thing.

3-1 win for the USA, couldn't watch any of it because I was in non-lecture classes but I recorded it in case I want to watch later.

Swiss played a decent game against the US. Curious to see how Swiss do against other teams. Russian game tonight is going to be ugly, I can feel it.

Team USA beat the Swiss DOWN. 3-1 was not indicative of how the first 40 minutes went. 3-0 is a fortunate score for the Swiss after 2, and their 1 goal was a whatev off one players hussle when the USA was kinda taking their foot off the Swiss' throats.

USA might not have Russia/Canada's pure skill, but USA played very big and physical with Brown, Backes, Malone, etc and just as importantly, they HUSTLED THEIR ASSES OFF. Hustling to keep it from going out of the offensive zone, hustling on the breaks, hustling to loose pucks. If Canada or Russia doesn't take USA seriously and put their hearts into it, USA might be a suprise upset. Will beats skill.

I'm getting the Canada v. Norway game on MSNBC. Curling (womens, USA v. Japan) was going on CNBC for me. I'm really impressed by the Norwegian team giving Canada some competition. This is turning to be a good game so far. Congrats to the women for dominating Russia. I felt a little sorry for the Russian women, but I hope their program builds itself for the next Olympics.

GM Place is dead quiet, like Canada expected to be up 5-0 by now. That they're at 0-0 after 1 already gives me the feeling, judging from the crowd's disposition, the pressure of the expectations and the realization that this isn't a predetermined fairy tale are creeping in.
