The Undertaker has never lost at Wrestlemania, and Kane has never lost at the Vancouver Olympics.
Sweden looking pretty good early against Finland, much better than what seemed like pretty mediocre games in their first two. If they continue playing like this I'd probably say they are the favorites. If the US gets to the Gold Medal game I'd rather not see Sweden on the other side.
Somewhat surprised Bengt-Åke isn't pulling a Turin on this game, which means Canada, Russia and Sweden will all end up on the same side...
Finland with almost 2 minutes of 5 on 3 and about 3~ of 5 on 4 in the same time period and they can't score, only get a few shots the whole time...
Then Sweden gets one PP and scores. lol.
edit: 5 min PP for Sweden after a dirty hit from Pitkanen, elbow to the head. Game is pretty much over.
Go USA
Go Loui Eriksson!
USA finishes #1 in seeding.
Canada finishes #6 of 12, only +2 goal differential (tied in points) over 7th place Slovakia. A mere 2 goal differential seperates all-mighty Canada from having been in the bottom half of the standings...
To my understanding it will be:
#1 USA vs (#8 Switzerland vs #9 Belarus winner)
#2 Sweden vs (#7 Slovakia vs #10 Norway winner)
#3 Russia vs (#6 Canada vs #11 Germany winner)
#4 Finland vs (#5 Czech vs #12 Latvia winner)
Then from there, the winner of the 1v8/9 and 4v5/12 matches would play, and the winner of the 2v7/10 and 3v6/11 matches would play. Consequently, the only teams of serious contention to USA from the gold medal game are Finland and the Czechs.
This could be totally wrong though, I'm going by my best understanding of the system. The one big thing I could be wrong most likely on is if there's re-seeding after every round.
BTW, for all the Canadian fans, I'd blame your team's 23849724 neutral zone turnovers before I blame Brodeur. GO USA!
So many turnovers, Miller is a beast, and they tried to do too much fancy crap or they just dumped the puck in on Miller and hoped for deflections...
Brodeur should have been pulled after the 1st. 2 goals on 6 shots? terrible.
USA deserved to win that game end of story.
At least Canada gets a game with Germany to work out some stuff...

Last night was fucking awesome, I got to see the end of the game, they delayed the start of class by 20 minutes because all the players and coaches were out in the lobby refusing to move until it ended, we about collectively shit ourselves during that last huge Canadian rush before the empty netter, that was the longest 1:20 ever.
Omg after the Crosby goal (for Canada haha) they had that massive posession just taking shot after shot and we couldn't get a bounce to land by one of us to clear the zone, I was in agony. Might beat the 30 second clusterfuck that was James Harrison's super bowl pick-6 in terms of how many years off my life it took. They seriously mustve attempted at least 10 shots and held the puck in the zone for 2 whole minutes.
Canada has a tough road but they can still get there. If they play like they did for the last 2 minutes of the US game against Germany it will be a massacre. I just hope they don't sleep on the Germans while looking towards the Russians.
Also wtf was Corey Perry thinking when he let Kesler get that open net goal. His fucking stick wasn't even on the ice. There was way too many Canadian players playing like ass last night for my liking. The only plus side is Luongo now has a very good shot at back stopping the team the rest of the way.
You mean Perry, thoro.
Ryan is on team USA
Ryan's a winner. Unlike Perry. Kesler's empty netter is #1 play on Sportscenter this morning.
No. Marty played like shit. Trying to bat the puck out of the zone instead of catching it to stop the play.
Stopping close to 50 shots by the beast Miller is what truly won the game for team USA. How many people even knew Kesler outside of Vancouver? Not many, but that has now changed. Lol.
Don't be silly, the only people in Vancouver are a pair of Swedish fagtwins and some Spanish canuck.
Or Italian, according to wikipedia.
Show the bow-legged wop some respect. He's our #1 goalie now
