I'm confused. I was born in Germany but I'm not a German citizen. Should I be rooting for Germany? This is a somewhat serious question.

In other news, I have a guy in Vancouver who I play NHL10 online with, he said last week when Canada played Switzerland (I think it was?) after the game a couple of street hockey games broke out on his walk back to his place. I'd give my left nut to be in Vancouver right now, it's probably so sick.




I'd be wearing the American flag as a cape though. Or the German flag, will need to decide once someone clears up my loyalty question.

How is that possible? I thought if you're born in a country, regardless of the situation, you are granted citizenship.

the one guy I noticed really going full steam was Rick Nash.

I'd love to see him play on a real team. This guy lights it up every time he's playing with proper teammates.

As for the street hockey games, they looked pretty fun. But then as Sep mentioned before, they shut down liquor stores at 7pm to prevent people from getting too wasted during the weekend. Pretty lame idea, just trying to get more people into bars.

I really wanted to check out the Molson Canadian Hockey House. Best beer garden/sports bar ever in Vancouver. Only catch is the VIP passes start at $500 (food and liquor included) and regular passes were $99. Almost all the tickets were snapped up immediately, I think there might be some gold medal tickets left but they're like $1500.

Yep, random street hockey games. People of all nationalities with there flags. Random outbursts of anthems. A few idiots getting too drunk, but overall a great atmosphere. Lineups for a lot of free events, but that's expected. I'll pull a NBC and use this analogy. Every day is a Superbowl day the past 7 days. The nation houses (Irish, German, Dutch, Japan, Korea) are always packed and go crazy if there nation wins a gold.

Captain America has been seen everyday. Lol. I know some media outlets are saying the delays the 1st 2 days on Cypress is a problem and saying this is worst Olympics. It's a bit harsh considering delays happen at all Olympics. Unlike China where protesting is almost certain jail time. The protesting has been minimal except for a few anarchist's.

I'd get alcohol poisoning if i went out every night. Lol.

Even with all the bandwagon jumping in the US, this won't save Phoenix. Fuckin Bettman move that team to Ontario.

You're a US Citizen Ivaden, cheer for the USA. USA citizenship trumps all others. It means more than any other. Don't cheer for Germany though, Russia is going to kick their ass...Napoleon, Hitler, no German ever makes it into Russian territory long.

Edit: Napoleon isn't German, forgot for a second. French people usually aren't tough, hence the confusion for him being the citizen of a respectable nation.

What will happen first? Phoenix to southern Ontario or Bettman getting fired? Lol. Bettman should have been fired already due to lying about the situation in Phoenix. I'm not sure why the other owners are ok with the league losing close to a 100M each year to cover this team.
