Lundqvist gives up his first goal of the tournament in the PP to Gaborik.
and another ES goal in quick succession. Sweden needs to get back in the game.
Slovakia has taken advantage of their PPs in the 2nd and a bad play by Kronwall, outside of that it's been all Sweden pretty much.
I've loved watching Olympic hockey, but god I can't wait until next week.
Well fuck. 4 goals in 7 shots.
I hate Kronwall.
Wow Lundqvist shit the bed horribly. 160+ mins of shutout, then lets in 4 goals on 5 shots.
Inc Canada vs USA or Finland for gold.
Slovakia upsets Sweden? I think Carey Price officially just became Montreal's #2
Friday, Feb. 26th:
USA-Finland @ 3PM EST
Canada-Slovakia @ 9:30 PM EST
For some reason I feel better about the US playing Finland, we seem to match up pretty well with them, putting our chances of advancing to the gold medal game pretty good.
US did not play all that well against the Swiss team, but I think that had more to do with the stupid Neutral Zone trap that we failed to adjust properly to. Seriously, they line 3-4 people up on the defensive blue line every time and we still try to skate through it over and over.
What happened to Brill?
ive been thinking the same.
i loved Getzlaf after Malkin got stoned by Luongo on the breakaway, standing up from the bench yelling in his ear.
"i dont need to speak russian to say you got STONED"
I thought he couldn't post from work or something anymore.
WOOT woman canada got gold!
/stop derail
Found this in the quote section of thehockeynews.com. Awesome haha.
"Chris Drury, who unanimously shouldn’t be on the team if the media picked the team, blocked more shots than (media) guys make typos in a day, and that’s a phenomenal number.”
- Team USA coach Ron Wilson.
Hey the men still have a chance to get revenge for Salt Lake. I'm hoping a praying for US/Canada gold medal game. God forbid it be Slovakia vs Finland zzzzzzz
Gaborik and King Henrik were laughing as they shook hands, I'm sure Henrik said something along the lines of good luck scoring in practice
