Skoula traded from Leafs to Devils lol. Poor guy. He's really not that bad of a defenseman, but whatever.

Caps doing some minor trades which may end up being huge. Sadly there #1 issue is a goalie. Lol. Vesa goes from being a #1 goalie to being a backup to Kipper. Ouch.
Eric belanger is not a small but it's not huge
sadly, they cant overpay for 2 reason.
1- they dont have any more draft picks to throw in
2- they have too many NTC/NMC. so even if they can get Hartnell/Briere/Gagne to waive it and get them off the books, they will gladly accept the cap space in return for sending the player, and in their eyes that wouldnt be overpaying
Damn....bye bye Raffi, we'll miss you.....
Torres to Buffalo for a 2nd round pick and Nathan Paetsch
Cost for Raffi for Sabres is a steal. Buffalo has one of the best goalies and no toughness. Raffi should fill that role
lol we dumped MacAuthur too
Caps got Joe Corvo for Pothier.
Another guy to help on the powerplay, works for them I guess.
Modin to LA for Future Considerations lol. God we're just giving up on hockey I think.

Dude cannot catch a break.
Caps also reacquirred Jurcina.
What kind of Knee Injury did Modin have?
I know he is a former 30 goal scorer but damn, only 2 goals and 4 assists in 24 games this year.
Modin has only played about 30 games in the past 2 seasons, he's always got some kind of injury to be honest. A lot of Bluejacket fans are just glad to be rid of him because of that simple fact. He's great when he plays, but he doesn't play that much lol.
I don't see why the Kings made this trade. I assume he will play 4th line minutes here.

TSNBobMcKenzie: Visnovsky to Ana for Ryan Whitney. So much for my prediction Whitney wouldn't be traded. LOL
From Twitter.
Has it been stated yet who the Caps gave up for Jurcina? All I can manage to find is that they reacquired him.
Yeah, Souray was damaged goods when he came here from Montreal.
Twice he reinjured his wrist while fighting. Which isn't what he was brought in for in the first place. Now it's all infected and stuff. Good job Sheldon.
Oh, and Iginla won the fight that hurt him this year as well, and when the score was Calgary 6 - Oilers 1.
Brilliant Souray.... brilliant.
6th round pick, either this year or next. That's it. :D So overall we're looking at:
Eric Belanger to shore up 2C
Joe Corvo for top 4D/second PP unit
Scott Walker for grit, veteran leadership, other nonsense
Milan Jurcina as Schultz insurance/Erskine prevention plan?
for
Brian Pothier, I like him but he's always dinged up
Oskar Osala, a pretty good power forward prospect
2nd rounder (2010)
2nd rounder (2011)
6th rounder (TBD)
7th rounder (2010)
We'll wait and see how they gel with BB's system, but we got quality guys and kept our top six or seven prospects.
