My girlfriend, bless her heart, finally got me a late Christmas gift (various issues with $ and her being sick in December): A Goligoski jersey!!

Who?
Side note: Brent Seabrook practiced today in Phoenixand might play Saturday, very good news if that happens but I'd rather him be safe and 100% healthy before coming back. Don't need him turning into Eric Lindros (bless his heart) with like 15 concussions in his career.... (number may be slightly stretched, just remember it was a ton of them.)
Alex Goligoski, my favorite Penguin besides Lord Eaton. This is his first full season in the NHL (played ~35-40 games last season while Gonchar was out from shoulder surgery) and he was actually being talked about for the 7th D-man for Team USA til he got hurt / was on a slump after returning from the injury in late november and then they chose Ryan Whitney, who was fucking garbage.
Hes like 22 years old, shrimpy by pro sport standards (5'10" 180 pounds), and already bald hahahaha, but hes got a sick wrist shot and is a very quick, agile, slippy guy. Splits PP time with Letang for the 2nd D-man on the PP unit.
Very quick to lose the puck, you mean.
Detroit better not choke tonight, I bet on them.
Minnesota > Columbus
Calgary > SJ
Det > Edmonton
Isles > Anaheim
Isles over Anaheim? Interesting choice. The Calgary vs San jose is a tough one as I'd pick San Jose to have a come back game tonight.
Good luck on your bets all the same.
Wings down 0-2 less than 5 minutes into the game, I am psychic or something.
Jealous much? If he even holds onto the puck for a second, thats more time hes been in possession of the puck during a professional NHL game than you ever have!
Although I do know what you mean.
Pre injury he was on fire in October / first half of November, came back and has been very slow to regain his form.
Ratings out of 10:
-----------------------------
October/November: 7 or 8
Post-injury December/January: 4 or 5
Post-olympic break: 5 or 6 (slowly getting it together once more)
Wings score with 0.3 seconds to send it to OT hahaha.
He may touch the puck more than I would, but I'm pretty sure I could put someone on their ass unlike him. 8-)
Goligoski is good, and I do think he's a good player, but I've said that from the start -- his size puts him at a disadvantage, and his speed can only make up for it in some situations. Wouldn't have been sad to see him go at the deadline, though, if only to see what we might have been able to get in return.
Wings lose in the shootout... nice to get at least 1 point after having to watch 45 mins of Edmonton not doing shit after they went up 2-0.
Spoiler for HUGE, stupid camera:
Spoiler: show
Fuck yeah.
All it needs is a :16 and it'd be perfect.
I think I was looking at past games, and it was a tough one. Isles had won 3 in a row, 2 against some top teams...then I looked at Anaheim, who won 2 in a row over THE top teams. It wasnt that bad of a pick considering the game went to OT.
Is Detroit like Montreal... "hey look a shit team, lets not show up"?
I never even knew Nash was injured, had I known this, knowing he was coming back I probably wouldnt have picked Minnesota.

Half the teams in the league are like that, Pens included. Not from a team standpoint, but simply cause Fleury chooses not to focus unless its the Flyers, Caps, Red Wings, etc.
"Maple Leafs in town? Oh i think I'll take a nap....sweet dreams of more teeth whitening products...oh yes Smokey the Bear, you can put that honey on me..."
stupid piece of shit, cost us at least 10 games this year.
Pens lost in OT, get 1 point.
Devils lose in regulation, get nothing.
Oh yeah~
