5-6-7 are really the only things that can realistically change in the West. Looking like it will be LA - Nashville - Detroit, 2nd most likely is LA - Detroit - Nashville I think.

Showed me how spoiled I am with the Wings lol...Hawks Records
Also Calgary forums have imploded with depression, lol.
The thought of a mass Flames fan depression makes me giggle every time i think about it.
Stat of the day: There are 8 teams with more points than the Penguins and they are 3-16 against those teams. 3-1 against the Sabres and 0-15 vs the rest.
Eastern conference #6 and below wouldn't get into the playoffs if they were in the Western conference.
Now, can we have Detroit win 2 games and LA lose 1-2 so that Chicago won't draw Detroit first round?
IRRELEVANT.
Last season vs Caps: 1-3, with the 1 win being in a shootout, a non-playoff institution.
Result: VICTORY, 4-3.
Last season vs Hurricanes: 2-2.
Result: SWEEP.
Last season vs Flyers: 5-1.
Result: 4-2, probably should've been 4-3 had "What if Carcillo said 'no'?" gone down.
(Last example is an argument to give Izzy hope for Buffalo competiting with the Pens that it works both way for the Pens, we crushed the Flyers and they at least made the series competitive).
The ideal situation of San Jose dropping a couple, Hawks sliding into first, and Calgary sneaking in at #8 is out the door unfortunately![]()
To be fair, Fleury is still playing with a broken finger on his glove hand.
But tonight's goals had nothing to do with his glove hand. So he still sucks.
Flames never recovered from that 11 game losing streak or w/e. They've been playing catchup ever since. To think at the start of the season they were firmly in hold of the Division and were favored to be in the Cup Finals due to their solid blue line.
Avs vs Sharks should be fun.
What's the over/under on the number of power plays the Sabres would get per game against the Pens? 1? 0.5?
Let's see- small market club with tiny (but devoted) fan base, or LORD AND SAVIOUR OF HOCKEY.
The only redeeming factor of the Pens is that I think Bylsma might actually be Charles Foster Offdensen.
Bylsma has been making a lot of boneheaded moves behind the bench lately though. Pulling the goalie with 8 seconds left or whatever? You're not going to score two goals, you know the other team is gonna feed Ovechkin for the empty net. You know him and Crosby are head-to-head for the goal-scoring trophy. At least give Crosby a chance lol.
That's just one among a lot of others.
