You have to be joking. Please tell me you're joking. Those had to be some of the ugliest jerseys in the league at the time, and now that Caps have by far the best jersey in the league.

I always hated the blue diving eagle jerseys, but I still have my blue Sylvain Cote jersey. I love the new jerseys, and that white one really does pop. The best part of the new Caps design is the eagle logo, showing the eagle, the Capitol, and a W. Probably one of my favorite logos.

Thirding the Wild alternate jersey, I love those. St. Louis alternates are a close second, I love the dark blue of those. Look so clean.

Really? The best in the league? Not so much. I do like the eagle on the shoulder that forms a W but other than that, the colors aren't a good mesh. And I'm fairly sure that the Caps weren't on the list that came out a year or so ago of the best jerseys/logos in all of sports.

I'm trying to find that list now to support this statement. And I may be partial to the fact, but I'm fairly certain Chicago has a better jersey than Washington if you were to take a survey. Not saying Washington is bad now, just saying I liked the blue with the eagle on the front better. How is that the ugliest at the time? What was wrong about it? The third jersey they used with the capital building on it wasn't that great though.

I'll always love the classics, all the original six teams' sweaters just look awesome, and there are certain ones like the Sabres throwback which I think is their alternate now which I still like. But the Wild alternate is pretty sick.

Don't forget we are also likely saying goodbye to Jere Lehtinen as well. He is the second longest tenured athlete on the Stars and in Dallas' history as well.

That fact made the shootout even more Disney-like. Modano gets the deciding goal, Turco stones everyone cold, and Jere put the game away.

There's actually reason to believe Jere will be back next season. He has a 2 year deal, he's a right-shot RW (which the club is in desperate need of), and he seems to want to keep going. I'm sure they'll keep him till the end of his contract.

Calling it here, Turco to the Sharks in the offseason.

North Dakota fought from the start, suing the NCAA for the right to keep the nickname. The sides settled, with the stipulation that "Fighting Sioux" would go away if UND couldn't get tribal support.

Last year, the board voted to retire the nickname and logo, provided the school was unable to get the blessing of the two tribes in the state to continue using the name. While the Spirit Lake tribe voted overwhelmingly to support its continued use, the Standing Rock tribe never voted. The university had until November to gain their approval, but the board apparently decided they had waited long enough.

The Wild's thirds are nice, but their normal home colors are atrocious. Also god damn, the "History will be made" shit is supposed to be the aftermath of the play, and then go back in reverse through the play, NOT go through the play foward and then in reverse.

I watched part of the Pens game, it was pretty cool. Apparently Errey ripped a huge fart during the game and the mics picked it up. Nice move of Crosby to say that Guerin got the 2nd goal, even if him saying it wasn't the reason it was changed. Sep learn to focus your camera, those would have been some cool pics.

Sami Salo didn't play last night so he would be rested and healthy for the playoffs, and but now Botchford is reporting that Salo managed to somehow injure himself this morning while taking the team photo. Canucks also lost O'Brien and Rome in last night's game.

Part of me hope's FSN-Pittsburgh replays the game at some point soon so I can hear Errey/Staggy call the game, I'd love to hear Errey's thoughts on the honor of going down to the ice, as well as some of his stories of back-when.

As for Ponikarovsky, who cares? Its an Islander. Play clearly was dangerous/illegal now that I see replay, but league was right to not have the suspension carry into the post season.

Lastly, on the issue of the camera, its a $100-150 camera I got for a Christmas gift 2 years ago. I'm not an artsy tree hugging thrift-store-clothes-wearing pussy "photographer." Aslong as the thing takes okay pictures and more importantly - video, I'm cool. Most of the pictures came out auto-focus'ed amazingly, and the final video following the game came out perfect, so I'm more than happy. There are a lot more pics, but they're of just general gameplay / non-critical things for the story of the game / non-BG worthy since they include my girlfriend who everyone claims is 12.

Edit: if you look closely, you'll notice Fleury is a tree hugging pussy driving a hybrid. He can stop global warming, but can he stop the Devils come May?

I just want to put it out there that I wrapped up a game of NHL10 online with someone who not one single time pressed the button to advance through the little cutscenes during the entire game. The game took about 52 minutes because he was a moron who froze the puck every time his goalie got it.

I'm honestly not sure if I've ever been this angry in my life, I don't think I can do either of playing videogames or watching the Hawks game tonight, as both videogames and hockey were simultaneously ruined for at least 24 hours by that fuckwit.
