It's funny how he talks about Pittsburgh's team now as if they're amazing, when the early 90's version of them would sweep them in the most savage, one-sided, 4 game throttling ever.

Im well aware of how good that team was. Too bad I was just like 4 years old when we won the second cup D: To be fair though, a lot of the teams from then and before would crush the teams today. The Canadiens of decades ago, the Oilers, the Islanders.

Caps averaged an even 3.75 goals per game this year. Second best team was VAN at 3.23. That's more than a half a goal better than the rest of the league. Who's boss?

He's just so poised and is usually in good position and the goals he tends to give up are ones he has no chance at saving, or if the D bails on him and leaves him out to dry with no support (see also our 4-6-2 post Olympic record until a week and a half ago.)

idk if you saw the interview Huet did a couple of weeks ago but he was pretty frank about his confidence being totally shot and him feeling like total shit about how he's played, it still sucks but the honesty part was nice.
