Ahh what a game. Way to go Valiquette!!!
Yea, we made out pretty well actually. Still al ot of problems and I hope the rest between now and Weds they can work some stuff out. You can tell they worked on faceoffs this week because it was a lot better today, even with Ott out. Hopefully they work on the PK and shootouts over the break and improve on that.
I like how they're responding to Crawford's coaching so far. But we really need to work on our PK badly. I'm still unsure of how to gauge Turco's performance.
Combining posts.
You must've really been in control when Drury took that penalty setting up the opening PPG. And you must really have been in control when you were too busy going 0/4 on the power play.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Interesting note in Saturday's Anaheim-Philly game:
Flyers have 2-0 lead at home with 7 minutes to play.
Teemu Selanne scores twice with under 7 minutes to go, including the tying goal with only 16 seconds remaining. He then goes on to win the game by scoring the lone shootout goal after a scoreless OT period. Philadelphia journalists do NOT give Selanne the #1 star, even though he just threw the team on his back and chugged them on to 2 points. Who do they give it to? Chris theslowoaf Pronger for scoring his 1st goal as a Flyer. Where was Pronger when Selanne was raping his team singlehandedly? Oh yeah, thats right. ON THE ICE.
Philadelphia bullshit injustice as usual.
Philly is a horrible, horrible place. I mean I can't understand why Giguere didnt get a star for having 36 saves in his loss tonight. We had Ales Kotalik with the GWG/PPG/3rd straight game with a goal, and our goalie had a shutout. But, Vinny Prospal? He didnt deserve it, he played well, but Artem Anisimov deserved it more for his 1st NHL goal.
Yeah, like I said the 2 minutes they didn't have control. The first minute of the game and the last minute and a half of the second. MATH IS POWER :D
Guess I'm forgetting where the 8 futile minutes you spent being stifled on the power play fit into your formula.
Hi! Welcome to the NHL thread! A few quick pointers. First off, do not attempt to talk to Sepukku about the Penguins. Second off, do attempt to get involved in a "conversation" between Sepukku and Abraxas. Thirdly, Mark Eaton > Kimmo Timonen. And holy shit, is Sepukku for real? Wow you really do have a "WE NEVR LOSE" mentality. Hi, you seem to think the league is out to bend the pens over and stick large objects up their collective asses?
Garon looked pretty good against Phoenix, looks like we have at least a serviceable backup this year. Good to see us take 2/3 games on our Western road trip.
Garon is very streaky. Don't rely on him to win a long stretch of games though. He's decent in a pinch but there's a reason why he's a backup.
good morning
Sup dooder.
I'm just not sure what to make of the Habs this year at all. The lack of identity has me rooting for the Caps more and more every day...
Also, while Ovechkin possesses immense talent, and I have much respect for him... he's a douche. His new tattoos got him some flak:

I'm not sure why he went with a double tramp stampish scheme.
Maybe he takes on more than one guy at a time?
FACE!
I apologize for the above post, it was immature but funny to at least me. Plus, I've been trying to find a way to crowbar "FACE" into a post for days now.
I thought it was articulately done.
Rangers have also had one of the better powerplays since then... Think were 5-14 recently is the number I've heard.
I'll also toss out that this Rangers roster went had a lot of questions about who was making the team or not. Torts was juggling lineups every pre-season game, and most guys were still getting used to playing with one another. Since opening night the Rangers have been playing like gang-busters.
In fantasy news -- looking forward to being matched up with BadKarma this week. Two Rangers fans duke it out!!
Gaborik VS Dubinsky
Del Zotto VS Gilroy
Kotalik VS Callahan
so much homerism it's gonna be fun to watch!
