So I heard the Pens won again. That has been covered here. But how about Sid, the King? Both goals to tie it up in the 3rd and the Shootout winner. I don't think theres anyone better. What a leader. What a captain. 7 in a row baby!!!!

I needed that. Not surprised that the Pens came back last night. It seemed like as the game went on, Florida seemed to unravel a bit. Like the Booth penalty where he decided to pretend the puck was a frisbee and throw it out of their zone(seriously, wtf?) The only thing that kept the Panthers from losing in the third was Vokoun standing on his head. Which is pretty much what Florida needs every single night to stand a chance of winning. They lost their top dman. They have very little offense despite having quite a few talented young forwards.

Martin Skoula filled in fairly well last night. He didn't look too out of place on the blue line. Time will tell if that is going to be the norm or an aberration. Jay McKee is thoroughly impressing me with how many shots he's blocking.

Seriously, what leadership. Just took over the game and went off for both goals the Pens needed and then the shootout winner. Is there any doubt hes the best captain in the league, except perhaps Scott Neidermeyer? Hes so mature, focused, and driven compared to him several years ago its like night and day. Thats why Crosby should be the first choice for any imaginary new franchise. You can build a team around a leader of his caliber. Crosby is the #1 Class Act of the NHL.

AO slewfooted the other day. Colin Campbell only fined him the other day, claiming hes "not a repeat offender." Apparently he forgot the knee-to-knee on Gonchar last Spring.

Richards is a solid leader, but he has his thug moments (like bowling over Fleury) and was just thrown out of a game for leveling a defenseless David Booth.

Crosby is the true class act captain of the NHL. (And not cause hes the Champ, either)
