My point was that yeah I don't expect to see many women playing physical positions, but there is really no reason we couldn't see a female goalie. Quickness, reaction time, conditioning, focus, stamina- those aren't "masculine" traits. There have also been female place kickers in division 1 college football, if I'm not mistaken.

At the risk of derailing this thread, there is also a lot of focus on the physicality and long term dangers of sports collisions right now. There are a lot of really smart people calling for major reforms to football, and hockey likely won't be far behind. Once we have more long-term data, I'm pretty certain it's going to show that the cumulative effect of all those hits is really, really fucking bad for you. So sports in the future might focus less on impact, and more on skill. That could open the way for more women to play.

And yeah I'll be 35 in March lol.

I listened to OT/the shootout in the car, sounded like it was a pretty good game.

First day of having to rely on Huet in fantasy went pretty well - only 1 GA on 27 shots. Very happy with those stats.

I saw everything but the 1st period, I heard from my family that the 1st periods was terrible for the Wings (went down 3-0) the rest of the game looked pretty good. The Wings had 3 or 4 posts that should have been goals, but coming back from a 4 goal deficit for a point is not a bad effort.

Unfortunately Filppula is now out for 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist. Losing our 3rd best forward in the lineup for the second time this season... Franzen and now Filppula, fuck me.

Sucks that you lost Flippula. Saw some of the highlights, after seeing what Detroit did to Vancouver I got give Detroit credit for being able to play one period of unbelievable hockey routinely.
