Why haven't I been here for days?
I feel so lost...so empty...
Clearly it's because the Rangers won, and the Penguins lost...the world must be falling apart.
Tonight was by-far the best game I've seen the Rangers play in a while.
Pens, particularly Fleury, have 3rd period meltdown.
LA Kings came to play, not really ever seeing them, I thought Kopitar leading the league in scoring was an early season fluke - hes a beast this season it seems.
Still, Pens had things under control going into the 3rd but Fleury decided to shit the bed.
Sharks are next - things aren't going to get easier come Saturday. As if having to deal with Nabokov and Big Joe Thornton wasn't enough, they now have a reckless driver looking to slaughter fellow hockey players to deal with. Chris Kunitz will probably get mowed down in the parking lot.
Fleury looked like he was an AHLer tonight. Out of position 50 times, slow to get from one post to the other on two occassions -- one which led to a wrap-around goal. The deke Kopitar threw on Fleury some 26 seconds into the game or whatever was nice, but Fleury tried to fucking dive and pokecheck it. Fucking dove at him. What. I'm pretty sure I could've scored on Fleury tonight considering how he played. I used to have a wicked wrister in street hockey when I was like 10!111!!1!1!
Relax. The Penguins aren't going to win every game. And Fleury is going to have bad games. It goes with being a young goaltender. He may have won a Stanley Cup, but he's still a kid and he's still learning. Guarantee you he never makes that poke check attempt on Kopitar ever again.
All in all the Penguins looked spent in the third period. They couldn't sustain pressure and were unable to gain the blue line numerous times. Kings had a sound game plan in place and they executed it perfectly. I was very impressed with Jon Quick. Admittedly I knew nothing about the kid but he played fantastic hockey last night. For some reason I thought Jason LaBarbera was their goalie still.
For the record, I hate the west coast swing for us. I usually have to get up at six in the morning to head into work. So these late starts kill me. Luckily it's Friday so it doesn't make much of a difference if I'm tired or not.
Great game by price, he kept us all time long in the game, just sad the offense didn't went out on thomas
ah well 2 pts is 2 pts
I'm pretty sure on the scale of things, actually killing someone is 100x worse than mentioning that someone killed someone. It happened and it shouldn't be a disregarded fact people store in the closet and act like it never occured. The man should be in jail / banned from the NHL. If that shit happened in the NFL he'd have been suspended at least a year. If that shit happened to an average person, he'd be sitting minimum 3-5 years in jail.
Anyways, only goal I don't fault Fleury on was the 5th. The team had mailed things in at that point and that was an amazing set of passes. But even having given up 5, Fleury probably could've given up 7-8 - the Kings had another wide open net early on from him diving out but didn't convert.

These were in the men's urinals at the Staples Centre in LA.
Coincidence they lost??
If the Pens lost every time dudes peed on Crosby, they'd be in last place, not first.
Look at how my lovely fantasy team is doing:

lol. Well the good news is Luongo should be playing again this week. 6 injuries... brutal...
Brandon Dubinsky broke his wrist, and Chris Drury has a concussion. Lovely
Well good news/bad news:
Luongo may be returning Tuesday for me, but now Letang is hurt. So I'm still down 6 men at the very least. And its not like its my late round players. Other than Jovanaski, those are all top notch all-star players hurt there.
Non-fantasy good news/bad news:
Pens going through a rough patch on the long CA roadtrip, injuries decimating the depth and the team being fatigued / out hustled. Bad news, Letang is now hurt (in my mind, this would be good news if we had a little more defensive depth, as I frankly think hes a huge liability) as well. Good news... that means Mark Eaton will be on the Pens top D pairing on the Power Play (unless they put a forward on the point).
