Only cause I question the stability of anyone who hangs out at the Beehive / Slacker. Most are okay people, but some of them you just gotta wonder what they got coarsing through their veins. But I'm a pretty scrappy kid, wrestling team / deck hockey league / NAVY Seal aspirations (before my pancreas kicked the bucket on me).

So around the trade deadline this year I decided to give twitter a chance due to so many hockey journalists using it reports trades on the spot. I admit I've become addicted to it now, I check twitter before I check any hockey site as the news tends to break there before anywhere else. So my question all y'all is do any of you follow hockey journalists (or players) on twitter?

@DarrenDreger (good for internal league news)
@BotchonCanucks (best canucks info available on the net, not just twitter)
@kurtenblog (random sports but mostly canucks)
@TSNBobMcKenzie (he's a bloated gas bag but he gets all the headlines first)

I've thought about joining Twitter just for Tarik El-Bashir but 99% of the time I watch the Caps, I'm trolling the internet anyway. Besides I don't think I could handle all the Nylander updates.

While I was feasting on the tears of Notre Dame fans on Saturday, the Caps put up seven on Florida, and somehow Alex Semin is even with no points. I hate it when fantasy interests trump my team actually playing well.

I follow Martin Havlat, from when he was still a Hawk. Don't really follow any other players, follow more NFL guys than NHL for some reason.

I heard he was doubled over in front of the net trying to finish the shift, which sounds to me like torso. Either way... even if the Pens are going to roll with only 5 D if Orpik is out any length of time, we'd still need to call up an AHLer - 2, if we'd roll with 6.

Ugly game. The only bright spot was Fleury who pretty much stood on his head. Right now the Pens are treading water in a circle of sharks, and they have a papercut. It's too early to hit the panic button by far. But they need to step it up. Back to back shutouts? Ridiculous. The blue line is absolutely decimated right now. And with the prospects that we have down in Wilkes-Barre, we might be better off playing with three defensemen rather than guys like Jon D'Aversa and Ben Lovejoy. Rough patch made rougher by the fact Crosby seems to be stuck in a bit of a rut.
