At this point, I'm actually not panicing - yes, every game we're losing points that will affect where we wind up in April, but its not a display of our actual team's skill.

We're only rolling with 14/20 of our main roster and last night we had only 3 of our normal defenseman playing and only 5 total? No surprise we lost...

Fantastic to see the Wings trounce the BJs even with Franzen, Filppula, and others out injured.

I have decided the losses to Toronto every year since 05-06 are for pity, because the Leafs rarely have a bright spot in their season.

Even without Kovalchuk, ATL has a dangerous team, that from what I understand skates pretty well. Not sure how the Rangers have responded yet to losing their Captain, and their "#1 Center"...this has bad news written all over it.

It seems like every team has 2-6 injuries to their core right now, it's kind of crazy.

San Jose, with the exception of maybe Torrey Mitchell, is basically now all healthy with Setoguchi back in the lineup since Tuesday. Now I just get the pleasure of watching them steamroll their way through everyone, slow down about a month before the playoffs and get shut down first round again. I love my sharks, I really REALLY do.

I love watching the Wings get a slow start every year, make one of the top West seeds every year, have everyone predict an early exit thanks to shitty goaltending and then going to the conference finals at the least.

It's definitely been a bit of a surprise this year with how much injuries are ravaging teams. I don't remember a year where it's been this bad. And it's not just little pluggers either. It's great players as well. Scoring race should have an asterisk on it this year lol.

Announced today Orpik will be out for two weeks. Joy.

Pens call up Farmer John from Topeka, Kansas cause at this point thats how low on our depth chart we're going.

Pens lose again... this is ridiculously frustrating.

Its sad when you lose a game 4-1 and you're happy simply cause:
A.) You scored a goal, and
B.) No one else got hurt this time.

At least this game wasn't Fleury's fault and both Talbot & Malkin are no longer red shirts at practice and they say Malkin should play in the next game Saturday. Orpik is out 2-3 weeks though, so even with them back, we're still talking about playing without 3 of our usual 6 defensemen til Thanksgiving.

The blueshirts are in the same situation. The Rangers definitely missed Dubinsky tonite They need his spark in the worst way, especially for the PK. I just found out what exactly happened to him, Bouwmeester's shot hit him, and the fucking bone broke through the skin. He said he could feel the blood running down his hand as he was killing the penalty. Gotta give the kid credit, I would have fucking cried like a bitch and went into shock if my wrist bone was on the outside of my body.

I'm loving Rypien, he's the middle weight champ of the nhl and will take on anyone. Asides from that fuck the canucks look bad.

Yeah it was a great fight for the start of that, Rypien got the better of May at the end.

Loving May here, he is something that was sorely missing last year on the Wings. Also teaching Abdelkader to fight was awesome.

Aside from the obvious two, Gonchar and Malkin, we really need Kennedy back. The Sharks game we were FLYING, lots of energy. Last night not so much, especially after the deflection off of Lovejoy's skate, we just deflated. Kennedy, regardless of the game, is always hustling every shift. We need that energy.

Yeah I actually don't fault Fleury on this one, even though his stats were quite sub-par again. First goal we were out-hustled as a team, 2nd goal was a dumb luck deflection of one of our defenseman doing exactly what he was supposed to be doing, and the third goal McKee got beat, GoGo did an okay job getting the guy to have to head down towards the corner where there was no chance of a shot, but the pass got not only by him, but also by a diving McKee.
