Watch the end and see how close ovechkin was to getting his head taken off. The guy is nuts.

Hockey can't start soon enough, I've been looking online for live streams of a canucks prospect game going on tonight versus some junior team. I'm that desperate. Seeing the highlights of the Canadian Olympic training camp only made it worse.

That'd be like saying Horcoff is a bona-fide #1 centre like we do here in Edmonton. >.<

so Brill, between the 2 of them, think Gaborik + Conolly combined = a full season's worth of games?

First of all that oveshkin video is win!.

Inc wall of text for habs. (if you hate the habs don't read)

How as for richy, i don't know if your from Montreal or a Habs fan from another city but here's this (if your montreal i dont care what the Blog from rds.ca says)

Anyway. I am the kind of guy that believe that Defense > offense.

So MArtin Job is #1 Price, he need to be able to make Price goal 10 game straight at least, he is young and he can do it. Martin's also need to stand up to Halak's (rumored threat) Price is #1 and he need to goal more, i don't say that Price need to goal 82 games, but he need to goal minimum 60. We havn'T had a 60game + goaler in years (aka since Roy left).

Also price needs to learn to deal with montreal's media, as sad as it is, they won't change for him, Price is good but Fans will kill him if he doesn't do well, so he needs to learn that and to tell GTFO to the media + fans in his head.

Next job for Martin is Defense. In my opinion Spacek is a good aquisition, he might not be the best one, but he can Backup Markov, pretty well. And if habs can get MAtt Carle or Yannick Webber in it will help because they are both good in Powerplay.

IF montreal can fix his shitty defensive, they will be good this year. Because Exept from Maybe MArkov and Spacek we don't have an OMFG defense, Webber and Suban if they get in might help because Hmrlik sucks and he'S old and same for gill (From what i heard).

As for Foward we don't have that much problem, we have good forward but with fragile confidence, if the Defense can pass threw the attack will follow.

    So

    Quick Line up for me

    First : Cammalerie, Gomez Gionta
2nd : Max Patiorrety D'agostini And Andrei Kostityn (yes i put him there)
3rd : LAtendresse LApierre Sergei Kostityn (if they play like last year Latendresse and LApierre rule together)

4th) Laraque Plekanec Stewart. (who cares about 4th line)

If one OF patiorrety or d'agostini doesnt make team then Put Metropolite on 4th and plekanec on 2nd.

    Defense

    Line 1 Markov, Spacek
    Line 2 Hamerlik Georges
Line 3 Webber and Mara or gill. (one of the big can protect the young one)

So I better not see anyone who says that i am pro Habs, because i got my positive and negative opinion on habs.

Now you see how much gay player we got at 4th line? and the double gay K? THAT WOULDNT HAPPEN WITH TANGUAY.

moral of the wall of text. I WANT TANGUAY BACK DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Olde, that was shot for a promotion last summer I think. But yeah, dude's insane. I'm convinced that he'll either cripple himself with some devastating injury by the time he's 30, or he's got an adamantium skeleton.

Mark Eaton was a stay at home defenseman... til his wife nagged him once too much, so he punched his wife, walked out the door, and eliminated the Flyers.
    LOL.

Rata I can't wait until Gill plays a few games for your boys and you get to see him in action. He can't skate for shit. He doesn't get physical even though he's 6'7". The only positive thing about Gill is his size. He's decent at clearing the puck after he's lost a foot race to it. I don't think I can accurately describe his complete lack of speed to you.

In the playoffs against Philly there was a point where a Flyer was at the redline and Gill was midway between the redline and the blueline and was skating full stride. And he still lost the race to the puck. Convincingly.

That is why with webber he could do good, webber is a good Rookie def but he is small

If gill is paired with him and can hit a bit (just a little bit) webber could do some damage (i hope)

He won't hit. The only thing he does is go behind the net and clog it up with his size.

He'll fail to clear the puck on the PK quite a bit, too. Let's not forget (well, Penguins' fans can) about that.

Yup he's no longer our problem though mwahahahaha. I can't wait to see Rata's reaction the first time he commits a turnover that results in a goal.

I can't help but pick on the Habs Rata. It's only because you get so angry about it and your responses get pretty damn funny.

^I have no idea why there are spaces in the Tanguay spam. That's rather curious.

If it makes you feel better maybe he'll blow out his knee or something in the preseason. Besides, I really think that Montreal is going to be fine this year. They have a good amount of talented scorers, at least enough new ones to offset the loss of Tanguay.

Ok, so Rata... we need to convince Jacques Martin to not pair up Gill and O'Byrne. (I swear he'll never live that down.)
However, when the time comes that it's Markov and Subban on the Powerplay... :joy:
Probably won't be this year at all, but Subban will be a PP force in time.

I feel bad for Carey Price and how he faced the wrath of Montreal media/fans last year. Mind you, his Patrick Roy-esque salute to the fans is the exact same thing I would've done. But if he can start fresh without the fans being all over him from Game 1, he'll do fine.

They didn't advance anywhere this year at all though. But at least they got rid of Higgins. Though Gomez could be the next version of him. >.< Gonna be awkward not seeing #11 out there on the ice.

To answer you Rata, I'm a Habs fan in Edmonton. Been a Habs fan since 1986. Hence my Richer comment earlier.
I was never a fan of the Oilers and hated them for trading Smyth. Sam Gagner is the only reason I even acknowledge that we have a local NHL team.
(Hey, if you rearrange the team name, you can spell iLoser. haha)

    Oilers just re-signed Mike Comrie.
By that I mean they brought him back here.
He was run out of town years ago, and evidently wanted back.
Oilers are now competing with Montreal to see who can dress more garden gnomes per game.
The only question is which team will toss a contract at Theo Fleury first?
