Kinda shocking to me as I kept hearing Latendresse being heralded nonstop despite his sub par performances.

Seems like everytime the rangers coach calls a time out early in the game some fire gets lit under the team's asses. I vote a 1st period reaming for the rangers players for every game if they're gonna net 7 unanswered goals in a row. It was good to see Avery finally get a goal (2 even) he's been working very hard the last few games and finally something goes in.

Ugh, Caps dropped their third straight. Boudreau went on record saying Ovie came back to soon, and while him at 80% is better than most guys at 100%, I still would have liked to see him take the extra week off and make sure he was good to go. I guess getting points on the road isn't a terrible thing but the shootout loss @ Toronto still stings.

I was reading an article on ESPN.com (titled, somewhere to the effect of, "Does Laraque even belong in the NHL?") and after its done blasting old Georges, it has some quick notes about other things and it talked about the Penguings defenseman injury situation and apparently Mark Eaton was having mad back spasms but played through them cause we literally had no one else to step in. What a trooper.

On another note, I really don't know what to make of the Jackets this year. It seems like we're a good team, we're just prone to massive breakdowns, god I hope we fix that before the break.

From what I've seen of the Penguins... when they got motivated enough to decide they want to win it - they win it. The Florida game reminded me a lot of the Columbus game a few weeks ago. Bottled up the first 2 periods, trailing, and they just put the pedal to the metal and they just start coming at the opposition in a big way and within a couple shifts all the opponents D are backing up as we come in the zone, theyre panicing and turning the puck over, taking bad penalties, etc.
