Also WTF is this shit, bettman saying yesterday that he would prefer Expansion then moving a team.

Ok so make another team that you will ruin to sell for 500millions, that will get weak players for 10years, and then will forfeit because they are out of money.

Instead of moving a team like TB Panthers or coyotes, for like 100-200millions which will give the new city a chance to hire good players.

It's all about tv deals Rata. As long as tv deals in the states are up for grabs they will not remove american teams to put them in Canada. Most american teams outside of the Northeast are not doing great as far as ticket sales.

I would care. Besides personally being related through my uncle's 2nd marriage to a Predators fan, its the principle that you don't give up on something when it doesn't pan out quickly in your initial attempt. Stick with it, work through it.

Also, I like where the teams are now.

Also, Canada doesn't need anymore teams, stop making up excuses to get another team you won't even cheer for. It'd be different if you were buttfucking every team in Canada, but you despise the Leafs - the biggest team in Canada and are seemingly impartial-at-best to the Western Conference Canadian teams.

I've always thought the Northwest USA needs a team, Seattle/Tacoma area perhaps. I could see a Dakota - Minnesota rivalry forming too if one of the Dakota's ever got a team.

They seem to have a good weather for hockey in winter, they only seem to have 3 sport team

IMO that's mostly because the economy is still fucked up and big arenas have not adjusted ticket prices to compensate. Hawks games are still sold out since they're doing great, but I just dropped $180 on two 3rd deck tickets for Friday's game vs. Nashville, noone in their right mind would spend that much for a team who isn't playoff-bound.

Other than that, I don't buy any tickets except for Student Rush through the Penguins or another student discount when an orginization at my university goes together on a couple busses to a couple games a year.

$40-50/apiece is the most I would pay for non-exceptional tickets (season opener/finales, playoffs, huge promo events, mario's return had I been a couple years older at the time, etc etc)

What section of the arena are those seats, Sepukku? The prices on TicketExchange are fucking ridiculous even for F-section. But to be at Mellon Arena's last regular season game, it's definitely worth it.

D, row A, center ice. The first row after the blue igloo seats. Ordered them back in August from StubHub before tickets were even delivered and had to wait til after they were sent out late-September to then recieve mine from whoever I ordered them from.

$210 a piece plus fees, and that was even cheap then - some of the E/F seats were already more expensive and A-C sections were already approacing $500+ for some of them. I can only imagine how horrible they are now.

In all seriousness though, there should be about 24 NHL teams. Bettman's belief that expansion was a good thing and should continue is mind-boggling.
