Sadly the 4 - 1 score is not an indicator of how good a game that was last night. Colorado definitely got robbed on the waived off goal.

i dunno Thoronas. the game wasnt all that boring from the flyers perspective. they peppered Luongo with som pretty solid scoring chances. he was just a fucking wall last night.
gotta give Richards props for droppin the gloves with Bieksa. he may very well be the toughest player in the league that not many people realize. the first goal was clearly goalie interference though. not that it would have mattered much with how Roberto was playing. is he that inconsistent? if he played the way he did last night 80% of the time, he could be a yearly vezina winner
can the flyers claim this goal? 0 goals in the last 2 games -_-;;;;on the waived off goal.
BGers, I need your opinion/vote - look at the goal by Crosby last night (you can watch it on NHL.com's main page under the Scrolling Tab for the Pens-Avs game on the front page, its called "Rupp dishes to Sid"). Right after Sid scores, they show a few people in the crowd cheering, the first shot of which is a 16-21 y/o girl wearing blue and gray who's putting away her cell phone and beginning to cheer. Does she not look like Miley Cyrus / Hannah Montana? Obviously shes not actually Miley Cyrus cause Cyrus is inbred white trash southern garbage who doesn't know what [a] rubber is, much less a hockey puck, but I got in pretty lengthy argument that this girl looked just like her.
was this argument with your gf? you know, cuz they're like both 11
actually, i really didnt watch it. pretty sure its safe to assume any argument you have about Miley Cryus is going to be with your adolescent gf
Thats now how your original response soundedIts okay Abraxas, its safe to admit you liked seeing a captain actually contribute for their team...
Flashback Quote of 2008-2009:
"Too bad you can't measure leadership in posts hit."
I still maintain that Richards is a punk. A fantastically talented punk. But a punk nonetheless. Faking an injury to avoid getting jumped after you plow into a goalie. Sorry Abraxas I can't agree that he's that tough. While it's commendable that he fought Bieksa, it still doesn't make up for little ticky tacky plays like running Fleury then faking an injury.
Kind of on topic though. I haven't been able to catch much Flyers action. How is Emery doing in comparison to Biron? I meant to ask you a few days ago but I forgot.
Did anyone notice our thread usually consists of the following.
1. Sepukku making outlandish comparison of players.
2. Sepukku badmouthing Flyers.
3. Sepukku badmouthing Rangers.
4. Everyone laughing at the Canadiens and by extension Rata.
5. Everyone laughs at the Rangers.
6. BrillCS makes the most educated hockey analysis for someone not involved in sportswriting.
7. Abraxas yells at Sepukku.
8. Abraxas makes underage/pedophile comment about Sepukku's girlfriend.
9. Laughter at NHL's "discipline" process.
10. Fantasy hockey trash talk.
Well I missed most of the third, so I didn't get to see the barrage philly unleashed on Luo. He's not really inconsistant, he's just terrible in the early part of the year. Last year he got injured so that kinda took him out of Vezina contention. This year the teams doing pretty good in front of him, despite our spot in the standings, so if he continues to have a good year and doesn't get injured he should be one of the final three for Vezina.
As for Bieksa, he's not even the toughest player on our team, that honour goes to Rick Rypien who would fight an elephant if said elephant was skating for the other team.
Edit: Abraxas, I was reading the other day that Pronger is kind of taking over a leadership role of Pronger. As a philly fan what do you think of Pronger on your team so far this season?
you misread brill. i was saying Bieksa is the tough one that doesnt get alot of spotlight
Emery has been solid. boucher got a few starts cause hes been playing good, and stevens is known for rewarding players who play well. emery is the solidified #1.
@thoronas: ive always liked pronger, since he was on StLouis. i dont think he can help but be a leader on any team. he wont be taking the C from richards, but he certainly is a leader on this team.
Bieksa is also a punk, but that's besides the point.
Ahhh gotcha Abraxas. I completely misunderstood. At this point of the season would you feel comfortable saying Emery > Biron or is it still too early to tell? Boucher I don't pay much attention to since he is a backup. But he's certainly capable of stealing games as much as he is capable of doing an impression of swiss cheese.
How has Giroux been playing? I haven't heard his name much which is a bit surprising with how well he played in the playoffs last year. I'm assuming another lightning in a bottle type player who hasn't lived up to his playoff performance?
emery is certainly better than biron, imo. hes more competitive for sure. i did like marty, but he let alot of easy ones in. emery is more consistent.
as for giroux, he shows great signs of potential, but it sucks for him cause he plays behind richards and carter. if he had more ice time, he would surely have better results. but stevens really likes him playing center rather than wing cause he gets the puck alot more. time will tell with giroux
I agree about Biron, Huet is like that too and it's maddening sometimes. He makes some absolutely amazing saves, then lets a puck get past that banked off the wall at the faceoff circle.

Be grateful you don't have Dan Cloutier, that guy was the most brutally inconsistant goalie ever. If he was just bad I could accept that but he'd have a game or two where he played awesome and you'd tear your hair out wondering why he couldn't play that way all the time.
Ah so in other words Giroux = Jordan Staal lol. Nice beachball pic. Poor Dan Cloutier.
Giroux is money in the bank, hes on my university friends' fantasy league team.
Richards is a joke, even though he too, is on the same team as well.
In our fantasy league here, I realized a couple days ago, I only play Abraxas once. Theres 21 weeks, 11 opponents - you play 10 opponents twice and 1 opponent once and Abraxas is my once opponent, smack dab in the middle of the season
Also, Pens have a home-and-home against the Flyers soon I believe.
Current record vs the Flyers: 1-0
Current record vs the Rangers: 3-0
Current record vs the Canadiens: 2-0
