I almost lost some teeth the other day in deck - down on the ground to block a shot, hits off me and the ball bounces up and im starting to get back up and they try to swat it at the net in midair and they got my face.... orz. Purple lip / swollen / bled for a bit, but they didn't score! I even came back and got an assist after getting it fixed up a lil on the bench, and by fixed up, I mean I busted out an alcohol pad (from being diabetic, i always carry them) and put it in my mouth where it was open - and let me say, that hurt 100x worse than the initial injury haha I almost screamed from here to Kentucky

I just started trying to re-learn how to skate and get back into sports shape myself for men's league in the summer, I hadn't skated in 18 years so it took a few weeks to teach myself how to stop again...so far the worst injury I've had hasn't been from falling or running into the boards due to not being able to stop(though I did both often), it was when I tried to do a superman penguin-slide on my chest across the ice for fun, and forgot my car keys were in my pants pocket.

You gotta love the North Side. Little girl calls into AAA because she was at CCAC North Side going to class. She falls on the steps and drops everything she has. The nice guy helping her up waits until she turns her back then steals her purse with her cellphone, wallet, car keys, and her Penguins tickets. Said little girl begins crying when I call her to tell her that the AAA locksmith is going to charge her 450.00 dollars to cut her new keys. She has no money because she bought Penguins tickets(from a fellow student today) for her father for his Christmas/Cancer Remission present, right behind the Penguins bench.

Now most of you know that I do not let much affect me. I've never been called the most emotional person on the planet. But this, pulled at me a little. Having lost my father to cancer the last thing we did was go to a Penguins game so he could see the Kid play before he died.

Little girl lives in Imperial. So I reach the Volvo guys down there and get them to start cutting a key for her. She can't leave her car because the guy has apparently been loafing around and running when the cops get there. So we're now towing her to Imperial to get keys free of charge from Volvo(free after I explained the whole story to them.)

Girls crying on the phone or in person drive men to extraordinary deeds to get them to stop.

I hate it when girls cry... it is so hard to not feel a call to duty. In the earlier stages of my relationship, it prevented me from truly, permanently leaving my girlfriend multiple times....

And damn you, now I feel shitty after reading that story. Thanks a lot. I'd shoot that guy dead if I found him, thats just awful. Brill you should write to the Penguins, and see if they can't hook her and her dad up some other way. Lemieux is a cancer survivor himself, you know, hint hint

It really sounded like she had just bought them and she was then heading to class. That's why I told her to contact the Pens PR guys. Send them an email. Lemieux always does things for cancer patients and cancer survivors. I would be shocked if they didn't set them up with at least replacement tickets. My guess is a trip to a luxury box if she actually follows through on all this. Just a shame.

I love when that term gets used, I use that pretty much anytime anything on me hurts, regardless of where it is.

What kind of surface is used for deck hockey? Is it like a sports court material? Luckily I haven't lost any teeth playing, but a puck to the sternum right at the bottom of the chest part of the shoulders is awful.
