SOOO Happy I got mine 2 days ago! Now if only I could remember how I fixed the issue where my HDMI monitor wasn't using the whole screen. I can not find the scaling option in CCC again.

Change the refresh rate from 60hz to 59hz.

I'll try that, I just found the scaling option too if that doesn't work. Thanks.

Edit: I tried forcing the refresh rate to 59 but everytime I hit apply it goes back to 60.

That sucks Q_Q. I have the same problem you do with my TV. If I switch the refresh rate in the CCC to 59hz instead of 60hz, it fixes it.

I am happy that my text isn't blurry on the monitor anymore at least. Windows 7 RC with this monitor for some reason made text look slightly off, even after adjusting clear type. Adjusting the scaling options makes it take up the whole monitor.

Anyone know how long these W7 keys stay active for? If I don't want to format my PC until March of 2010 (for example), these keys are still good to use then right? As in, if they aren't used, they won't expire?

Also I'd point out that people reported, even though it says the keys are one time only, they had no problem using the keys again after reformatting. Some people are guessing that only changing your motherboard would make it worthless, but I dunno about that.

Well, yeah reformatting won't void your key in any case unless you change your computer/motherboard.

Activations binds your key to your motherboard ID which will allow you to install as many times as you want.

If you happen to change your computer/motherboard, you should be able to call Microsoft and resolve the issue...assuming that you are a student. If you are not...well, I don't think they'd bother checking that.

They dont ask where you got the key from at all ive done this with vista I did phone activation and activated 1 vista key on multiple PC's.All it asks is if this is first time using the key say yes and the system assums its true and gives you a code to activate the OS

I was finally granted access to MSDN AA! Even though it no longer has Windows 7 available (for the time being at least). I am not even a computer science/whatever major, woo!

They just wanted my student ID number, my student email, and the name of my academic advisor (I lied and gave them the CS advisor name.)

Looks like they don't verify your major. Just that you're a valid student at the University, and they just might verify the department of the advisor you name.
