Whenever I'm walking through a store with individual aisles, and I randomly decide to look down such an aisle as I walk past, without fail I will choose the aisle that has the overweight person facing away from me in the process of bending down to reach something on a low shelf.

I can't wear watches because for some reason the battery drains very quickly(like they'd last about a week tops then die). Same goes for cell phones. I usually keep spare batteries for my G1 when I go to work. I also used to bend the colors on crt screens back in high school just by touching them.

I have a friend like this as well. I've heard of a few other cases too. Apparently it's more common then you'd think.

Not that scientist aren't to blame at time...many are attention whores who exagerate their discoveries to get in the media.

The author is a physics grad student or some such thing, so I think he's well acclimated to the pitfalls of science reporting. Not all of the comics are great, but some of them are just amazing.
