If a 61 year old man gets 1st degree arrested and charged with 1st degree anything rather simply than cussed out, maybe sued, and ridiculed on the internet, then how many consecutive life sentences do you think they've give an 18-35 year old black male such as myself? Most parents try to calm their kids, they really do. Despite the "horror stories", most parents are really decent and try really damn hard to keep their kids in line. At any given moment, you are probably in a public place with 100 kids, but only notice about 5 of them making asses of themselves. Welcome to every sector of society, where a certain 5% of the population makes the lives miserable of the other 95%. Sometimes, especially with the younger ones, it's really fucking hard, and it's frustrating. Any parent who tells you it isn't frustrating is lying. At those times, you really don't give a flying fuck about anyone else or their feelings. Fuck em. Your ready to get your shit and get the hell out, get back home, and continue your life. I don't think that makes you a bad parent, or even a bad person.

To them, they don't care about your children or your ears, they just want to make what gets a profit. They want to get theirs, get out, and enjoy their life. I don't think that makes them a bad person.

Very few people can't come up with a story, explanation, or excuse for why they do what they do. When your daughter grows up and misses curfew for the first time(and in all sincerity, I am not implying that she'd actually do something regrettable, because I'm just disagreeing with you, not hating you), I'm sure she'll have some stupid story, and I'm sure she won't be a bad person for it, and I'm sure you will ignore her or make her sit in the corner super long that particular night.
