I think she looks like the suit designer lady from incredibles, just missing the accent.

I think you're a season behind if you only watch USA. I downloaded season 6 and had not seen any of it expect the 2 NCISLA crossover episodes and I pretty much watched NCIS on USA everyday for the past few months. There's only one major story line change during that season tho.

Yea, you're missing the entire last season. You're not missing too much, can pretty much skip the season until the last few episodes, ep22 Legends Part 1. If you watch that through to the finale, you'll be caught up to this season more or less.
    Spoiler: show
The first 9 episodes or so contains a story arc involving why the team was broken up and their reunion. I think the rest of the season is stand-alone episodes until the end where they introduce NCIS LA and the few episodes leading up to the finale to where this new season picks right up.

So far I've only seen the NCIS premiere, not the LA one. Loved it. Only thing I didn't really buy was Gibbs' at the 2nd to last scene, but whatever, it fit for dramatic effect.

Okay, so I saw the last like 4 episodes I guess from last season. I guess I'll see why they were split up on USA sometime. I guess I'll watch the new episode tomorrow. I just watched last episode from last season,

    Spoiler: show
it doesn't surprise me Ziva was being interrogated

Really, the only storyline that matters at this point for Season 7 is what you mentioned. Other than that, the story of season 6 doesn't really get mentioned much after the middle of the season.

    Yeah it was.

Just watched the LA premiere: It wasn't bad. Not the same as NCIS but NCIS has 6 seasons of attachment and they're starting off decent enough with LA. There are some backstories that sound quite interesting to get into as well. I'm disappointed to see that they changed the on-site director since the original had the Gibbs' connection but the old lady is pretty cool so far. She seems to be a bit Duckie-ish in having some of those old random facts and theories to use for situations (though they're splitting that role with the newbie) and I do like her. Will probably watch the whole season just to see how it goes.

contaminated the first crime scene they entered by not wearing gloves
didnt properly clear the room when they entered several times, which put them in useless danger
half their team is pro awesome and the other half is super noobie

gibbs would be shitting himself with rage if he were near those guys with all their fuckups

They're more 24 than CSI, I don't think Jack Bauer ever worried about contaminating a crime scene. The first place they investigated was the apartment and I wouldn't exactly call it a crime scene. They kinda just broke in without worrying about a warrant. If this was NCIS, they'd start with actually working the car shootout location. LA's cutting out the CSI fat I guess.

They're supposed to be the undercover/spook team and it really wasn't that great. When they previewed the show at the end of the NCIS season it looked good but I think it was really disappointing.

I enjoyed the 2nd episode a bit more. The characters are fairly enjoyable, just so long as they're able to put all of them into the episodes I think the show will be great. The old lady is made of win. I don't think they're very good at following protocol...but I'm still not sure if I really care about that or not.

    From an interview:

    Q: Where’s Dom?

Shane Brennan: He’s gone. He’s out there somewhere.

Q: Will the team continue to search for him?

Shane Brennan: They’re not about to leave one of their own unaccounted for, but life goes on. They’ve got cases to solve. So they continue to do that and wonder.

Q: How long will this story play out for?

Shane Brennan: It will arc the rest of the season ... in the great tradition of NCIS, it doesn’t mean that having answered the questions we won’t pose more.

Q: Why did you decide to write out a main cast member this early?

Shane Brennan: To my mind, particularly in the first season of a show, there is no main cast. The audience is meeting a whole bunch of characters and you get the opportunity to play around with them. I’m a great believer in playing with the audience’s expectations. No one’s safe.

    Q: What was Adam’s reaction?

Shane Brennan: He was incredibly professional. Everyone’s aware that these sorts of things can happen. I warned everyone that I shake things up all the time.

And by the way, just because Dom’s missing doesn’t mean you won’t see him again. There’s blood in the car, but is he dead? Alive? What’s going to happen?
