DC metro system > all other metro systems. eat a dick
DC metro system > all other metro systems. eat a dick
except the suburban stops suck a fuck load
i've only been on the DC metro once, and i actually saw someone get their ass beat and then a police intervention. it was fucking awesome.
god i would love to risky business you on a metro. divorced plx
only if you can guarantee a bitch fight for me to watch during the business
Do I personally? If I drink it might not be at a bar but maybe rather a friend's place or something and it's easy enough to just catch a train back home. I also generally feel sort of bad when people are heading out to catch a drink and one person is pretty much left to pick up the bag in the case of DD's. I mean obviously the bottom line is to get home and not get dead so if it costs an extra 30-40 bucks (I think the last time I took a cab back home it ran at slightly under 35 from midtown manhattan to south brooklyn but in that case it was because there were 4 of us and we were dragging a TV along at 3 in the morning all plastered, so it was rather obvious that was going to happen anyway) and you're in that situation without a choice then so be it, priorities. Unless you live way out in like east new york or the extremely northeast section of queens, you're probably within 5 blocks of some sort of train station at all times though. If you're deciding to make a large tab at a manhattan bar or something then you're probably within 3 blocks (granted 3 avenues might be a 12 minute walk especially at drunk stumble pace) of the line that leads you directly back home.
and i mean a real throw down, one of these bitches threw the other one to the ground and beat her head against the floor. it was fucking sweet
we would have to go to south east for that kind of show. where i hang out its just drunk white guys and drunker white girls that cant keep their legs closed when sitting in their slutty dresses. GOD I LOVE THIS TOWN
i think i just might be used to planning my evenings around the fact that nobody is leaving once the bottles start popping, whether that means people crashing at my place or me at someone else's. i feel bad sending people home in a cab or on a bus (since i've never really lived close to a metro) because i don't want them to fall asleep or piss themselves or end up getting arrested for doing stupid drunk shit. guess it just depends on your friends. mine like to fight.
true story: i've never run up a cab fare over $25.
As far as the popo goes, the only time I ever caught a drinking related problem with the police was 2 years ago during new years. I hit up 3 parties in a single night and met friends along the way to the third. Granted I caught a citation for being so drunk that I pissed in public but the specific citation was for public urination and not drunkeness. Apparently I was so cool about it that the officer never bothered to file it so I didn't have to pay it. That or he was lazy, either way.
you also have a bike, bikes are awesome
the only place i drive to nowadays is classes at the parham rd campus, which i didn't want to take to begin with
ugh fuckin woosh dude
what im saying is this: i came back because my gran was sick. I have FAMILY here. That is why I came back. RIC isn't NYC for certain but it has its own personality and it's own style and appeal. YOU do not have family here, YOU do not have a grandma with cancer that you'd prefer to be near in case of emergencies -- I didn't move back because I missed it, and you won't find that I've stated that anywhere in this thread. Don't go making shit up to substantiate a point that you can't even make properly. You have just as high of a chance of getting a job in Chi-City, why not GO there? I'm saying man, RIC isn't a place people go electively, it's a place people go when they get a job with a bank or have family here. It's becoming better by the day but it isn't finished being revamped yet. There's tons of shit to do, but as Ivve stated, tbh what else WOULD you do? There's a few really upscale clubs, a bunch of trashy ones, a bunch of shitty bars, a bunch of excellent bars, tons of restaurants, parks, concert venues, you can drive to the beach or drive to the mountains, go to DC, go to WBurg, go to KD, and you're basically centrally located to ALL of that shit... but you need a car and a license to enjoy it. That's just facts. You knew this going in. I'm sayin, if you knew all this, and Chicago has better transportation and more to do, and fits the way you like to live better, you have a ONCE IN A LIFETIME (potentially) opportunity to just GO wherever you wanna go!
MY point is this: you have no job, no familial obligations here, no nothing. NOTHING is keeping you here. WHY would you move to a place where you have no REASON to move there, and it be a place you can't really operate? I'm saying GET OUT before you get a job or some sort of reason to FEEL OBLIGATED to be here! You have a ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity presented to you here, not many people can just MOVE to a new spot because they want to, and have no ties or shit holding them to that spot.
Shit dude I've done this in RIC lol, this isn't about anything but actually having FRIENDS who have parties that you can hit up all in one night.
i have not pissed in public though
I'm not really seeing the problem here. I wasn't complaining about a lack of shit to do, I was establishing that there really is more to do in those other cities. This is a plain fact, you've agreed with that sentiment plenty of times over. If you're exasperated at the source and the subject matter hey that's perfectly fine, but being tired of it doesn't invalidate it. I came down here because I have an interview in 4 days, and that's priority #1. Getting a job, an obligation that ties me down and centers me was obviously a good thing for me and I just handled the stress incorrectly the first time around and pretty much blew a good opportunity. The bottom line is to establish some sort of stability and also gain an income, the setting otherwise is pretty irrelevant (hence my applying to hospital pharmacy gigs in boston, ny, dc, baltimore, and richmond. Richmond offered the first interview and I already had my state related licenses out of the way so I went to where the opportunity is). Again, there's a difference between hating on something and making an observation.
Also that second quote, I put it in a different post and gave it a beginning part to establish that it was police related and not a "look how hard i can party" quote. I gather that you quoted it before I separated it but I just want to clarify.
SERA you sure do SEEM to like putting EMPHASIS on words, one MIGHT assume that you are getting MAD.
nah man when you have to post the same thing 50 times to get someone to get the point you just wanna EMPHASIZE the MOST IMPORTANT PARTS nyamean
Anyway I don't care where you live and it's cool to me if you stay here of course, I just don't want you to be in a place you're unhappy that's all dude, I'm saying you have the chance to go anywhere for whatever reason you choose, and I just want to see you happy -- and RIC has never seemed to make you that way. That's all.
i would like to EMPHASIZE my balls into kiara's mouth
