I have yet to meet a fagle who is gay because he hates women so much. If anything some guys hate women so much they ask one to marry them.

I was seriously thinking about that earlier today at work. Got burned once by a chick because some other guy rejected her and she suddenly decided she couldn't trust guys. I mean, why are all the ugly girls lesbians? This is not to say all lesbians are ugly but.. anyway. And why are so many gays and lesbians victims of molestation? This is probably a skewed statistic, and perhaps it's the % of currently straight people that have been victims as well but... I dunno. these thoughts/doubts plague my mind when it really comes down to it.

First of all, I think you only notice the lesbians that are really butch bulldykes whereas the pretty, lipstick lesbians go largely unnoticed, so I think that's a problem of perception. Plus, I think women are much more likely to not identify as one sexuality or another, or at least have a lot less problems than men being open to sexual experimentation? Hmm...

Anyway I don't think you can say it's 100% nature or 100% nurture for everyone, in the same way you can never completely "buy" into a gay person saying why they're gay, I have a tough time believing the really hyper-masculine straight guys. That kinda machismo sends up so many red flags for me it's not even funny.

To be honest, I think your problems taking gay people's adamant gayness serious comes from your own sexual experimentations maybe? You realize, on some level, that there's no such thing as 100% gay or 100% straight by personal experience and realize the opposite can't be true for homosexuals, I guess?

All I can say is that for me, I'd say it's about 85% nature 15% nurture, and I'm probably 90% gay 10% straight? I dunno, it feels weird to assign labels to something that is set up to circumvent the black-and-white aspect of labels, but yeah. Shit is subjective.
