Got home from work and what do I see to my fucking excitement?
Brought this home, just about to get to start a new game, RRoD.
FUCK.
Gota love that xbox.
Just post all your cool stories here so I can pretend that I'm co-oping with everyone.
I feel like my xbox is about to bite it also. The tray only opens when theres a disk in it, and if not, you have to pry it open. Next gen yo
BK if you reserved it at gamestop the code for the weapon pack is inside the box where your manual is.
Anyone playing this on PS3?
Picked this up with a FYE 20$ coupon.
PSN: Kwijiboe
Also, game hasnt impressed me so far. I mean it's ok, but thats just it. Its OK.
also I'm kinda regretting picking Lilith, as even a normal encounter with any sort of semi-hard scag even 1 level below me usually ends with me barely killing it after dying. She relies way too much on elemental weapons, of which I've come across maybe 1 or 2 that are worth using. I have her spec'd now as an assassin, which is nice whenever phasewalk is up, but combat with her is pretty much retarded.
I think the part that I'm least impressed with is how you can't really manually aim all that well, as your gun's accuracy rating seems to be a much larger determinant in whether or not you'll actually hit than your ability to aim yourself. So if you're planning on using a sniper rifle, unless the accuracy rating is high enough you'll more than likely miss (and alert the enemy to your presence), even if your reticule is directly over the enemy's head. If an enemy is far away I can often just blindly fire with a pistol and get better results, lol.
Co-op is really hectic and pretty brutal. Our party was 3 lvl 13 and a lvl 14 and in Sledge's shack we were dieing left and right. We managed to get through most of the zone but at the end we fought a lvl 15 boss that decimated all of us and just threw grenades non stop, was something like "Roid Rage Psycho". The drop rate for rare guns seemed a lot better, altogether we found about 10 green weapons in the zone which all retailed for 500+ each.
The game is meant to be played co-op, im having a fuck awesome time playing 4player co-op
Ya it's been great so far, just wish I didn't have a midterm to study for.
I found a chest in that area earlier that had 4 pistols in it each worth 1200+, a couple were purples. Atredies thats how the game is designed as far as the sniper rifles go, the other three are going to take some skill level grinding to be good with them, Mord is much better with them as its his main weapon(duh I know). Brick uses bigger weapons better, lilith small weapons and roland is well rounded with them all. The game doesnt play like a typical fps, stats and skill with the weapons play a big role in the game, thus why they call it an fps/rpg. You dont just kill what ever and move on like a tyical fps.
i like pistols with added elemental dmg so far, shotguns and snipers are too slow for this game.
Framerate feels like N64 at most times.
Ive been working the sniper rifle quite well, I can pretty much one shot most things within a level of me with a head shot. I have a magnum pistol, rocket launcher and a shotgun sniper rifle currently as my three weapons.
If I wasnt watching the game I'd still be playing, lol.
