god damn that revolver sounds sexy. qal and kyo and raggy, can you guys post your trees so far so i can see how your mordecai's differ from mine?
here is mine Borderlands: Skill Tree probably maxing deadly next but fast hands seems appealing since fast reloading is hella sexy
this is off memory but i think its right, gonna get some bloodwing skills next
Borderlands: Skill Tree
also I have a revolver with ammo regen, so if I run out I find a safe spot, equip and idle for a minute
Yeah sniper rifles seem pretty good too. But for some reason I've found more really good elemental revolvers with great zoom scopes and high attack power lol.
I've tried a few combat rifles, but most of the ones I've used with decent attack power end up feeling like sniper rifles with a little less recoil and power and no scope. The ones with larger clips and higher rates of fire seem to do about the same damage as SMGs but less likely to have good elemental effects.
I think the tactic I've been using the most lately is to just run around with a good shield on and the Tormentor class mod (improved elemental procs) and shoot pretty much everything in the head with either a good thunder revolver, or that one I got at level 22 that has 190ish attack power and regenerates bullets faster than you shoot.
Here's my Lilith co-op skill tree path that I'm going to end up with:
Lilith Co-op Skilltree
My teammates are Roland/Moredcai (depends on what he wants to play) and a Berserk so I get a lot of my damage done phasewalking.
Here's my solo play tree with the Lilith that I'm working on:
Solo Lilith Skilltree
Strong focus on melee and phasewalking, with still some benefit to using guns which is how I find myself playing most of the time.
My siren now: Borderlands: Skill Tree
The way she'll end up: Borderlands: Skill Tree
Emphasis is on getting in fairly close and delivering tons of headshots with elemental guns.
Borderlands: Skill Tree is what im going for
Borderlands: Skill Tree this is what I have
This game if highly addictive. Got home and turned on Borderlands. Last thing I remember was it was midnight, and I was fairly drunk in an online Co-op. Good fun. Gonna be a loooooonnnnggg drunk weekend on Pandora.
I have yet to play the game at all, does this seem like a silly build?
Borderlands: Skill Tree
I haven't messed with any daze add ons, so I really can't say on that. Elemental builds are definitely worth it if you want to play that route as they can add a lot of damage.
I personally also wouldn't do the 1/5 in the experience boost as I really can't notice it a whole lot as a team with 4 in it, but this may be because it only activates when the Siren gets a kill shot and I spend a lot of my time getting into situations and wearing a lot of people down and letting the Beserker and Mordecai take the final shots. I'd pump that extra point into something else, but that's just my take on it.
Overall I think it could be a solid build as you have a lot of stuff spread out, but it will really take time to play with it and see. If all else fails, purchase a point reset and start over.
Thanks for the feedback, also talked to tyven in IRC about it.
Doesn't sound like it's probably the best but maybe it could work out, I'll do like you said and at the very least give it a shot.
Since it's possible to reset skills, it can't hurt too bad to try!
I have not been using Phase Walk very much, so far the only really cool thing I've seen about it is the elemental entrance/exit burst. I think I'd like it more if it only lasted a few seconds but let you shoot while you were in that mode. Not getting the last level of Assassin because you're so spastically fast in multiplayer when you phase walk that even the tiniest bit of lag makes it very hard to actually melee something that's moving.
It does come in pretty handy as an ohshit button to save yourself if you get cornered, but I don't really want to put points into it to use it that way lol.
does anyone have a list of lilith's class mods? i'm not sure if class mod's are the right term but they are the rewards you get at certain levels. like for mordecai i have the ability to add fire or shock damage to my birdy
Adding shock damage changed how I used Phasewalk. Couple that with 4sec extended duration plus a 800% melee bonus, and you can do a lot of damage while being within Phasewalk.
Does the shock damage do a lot? I saw a video of someone in phasewalk with that skill and it looked like it was doing pretty crappy damage... if it's decent, I may have to rethink things a bit.
Seeing that video is why I largely ignored it.
Mine does in the range of 10-25 I think, but it rolls like a stopwatch so you may only phasewalk for two seconds or so, but you may spit off 100-200 damage.
Once you get Phasewalk entrance/exit bonuses it helps even more with damage as you can just run into a group > phasewalk > follow the group doing the same damage to everyone > melee right before phasewalk ends for damage > get exit bonus. I could be wrong but I beleive the shock continues after you exit for a short time as I had people keeling over from electrocution charges when that was the only electric thing we had.
You notice it the most, and probably the best when you have a large group of skags.
Shock seems to have a bit of a DoT effect, I think that's probably what it is.
Tyven do you mean artifacts or class mods? Lilith artifacts add elemental damages to phase walk (iirc mine right now is explosion lvl2) that hit during the burst from entering or exiting.
Class mods however can do all kinds of stuff. My purple Tormenter one gives a huge boost to the party for elemental procs and adds points in skills in a couple different trees.
oh i must have meant artifacts. i am so nab.
Hmmm... in my drunken gaming last night, I somehow got the Two Friends achievement.
For Mordecai, how good are the Bloodwing upgrades? I'd like to sit back with my sniper rifle and then toss my birdy out to to finish 'em off. Kinda like the idea of a blood thirsty Bird helpin clean up the place.
