Kinda want to pick it up after reading the gamespot article today, but god the gameplay footage looks so stupid every time I see it. I'm hoping for a demo or something so I can play it and prove myself wrong, but I'm going to have to wait for the reviews first before I pick this up.

Mikey Neumann, Gearbox's creative director, wants you to commit to Borderlands now. If his tweet is to be believed, send in a picture of yourself preordering the game today and he'll play with you day one and drop some loot.

Neumann declared today "OFFICIAL BORDERLANDS PREORDER DAY," in this Tweet.

"Today is OFFICIAL BORDERLANDS PRE ORDER DAY. Twitter me a screen of you buying the game and I'll play BLs with you and give you loot."

No idea on how this is redeemed, exactly, or what loot you get

Recently, in a preview of Borderlands, MTV Multiplayer claimed to have seen the debug menu for the game. According to them the Debug menu said that the total number of weapons in the game is 3,166,880.[8] However, the developers have stated that there are over 17 million guns that they have counted.

even if it is not that great on the plot side. the split screen will be fun.
ive been waiting for a good co-op rpg.
and this seems to be inline with like fallout minus the vats.
should be fun doing some quests, even if they are old stale ones.

After playing a preview build of Borderlands, it’s safe to say we’re excited about it, and if we told you the game had a million guns you could buy, sell, and eviscerate bad guys with, it would still be inaccurate; according to Gearbox’s President Randy Pitchford, the last weapon count for the game was 17,750,000, a number far greater than any development team on the planet could create by hand.

Even if it is like 10,000 different guns randomly generated with random stats, 17,750,000 guns caught my attention, I might have to pick this game up I love a good loot whore game.
