Damn being a responsible adult. Just as I was setting down for some killin, wifey decides she wants to do halloween costumes and shit. I just got new guns to try out too She has school tonight, so I'm hoping for some uninterupted carnage.

Funny enough, I had to stop by BestBuy for work today and pick up some hard drives. I checked out the games section, and all they had left was 1 copy of Borderlands for PS3. I asked the sales guy and he said they have been out for a few days lol. Guess this is kind of a sleeper hit. Hopefully GBX fixes some of the major glitches soon.

I'm a little confused on artifacts. I did the New Haven corrosive crystal quest the other night and when I got my corrosive artifact reward I couldn't use it. I already had a level two corrosive artifact equipped, but I'd been led to believe if you used a new artifact of a type you already had, it just bumped up the existing artifact by one level, in this case giving me a level 3 corrosive.

So, how do artifacts actually work with regards to multiples of the same type?

You have to find an artifact of a higher level requirement to get the next level up
Like the level 44 artifacts are x6

Anyone interested in setting up a co-op group for the PC? Trying to jump into public games is horrible and not having skype/vent is no fun either.

A lot of PC players don't have the common sense to understand how ports function, nevertheless how P2P gaming works. You'd think after 3-4 hours alone in a public game they would start to think something is wrong.

Doesn't help either the game isn't really designed to be played pick-up style. : / It's pretty much friends or solo.

Well the game itself while good, is severely flawed online from the get-go with problems. I highly doubt we can expect any major patches soon to fix them immediately either.

As for the friends only/solo thing. Its pretty much the only way to avoid the hacking, which is already rampant galore in pubs.

You use them just like bagpack upgrades. You can pick which one you want equipped on the skill screen, can also turn em off completely if you want to.

Found an orange sniper called Liquid Invader I believe. Damage of 215, fire rate of 2.1 (I think), 15 bullet clip, and explosion x2. It doesn't sound all that impressive until you use the scope and it fires a 5 round burst faster than a 15 fire rate combat rifle. Just so sad that we found this AFTER my roommate's Mordecai got corrupted. GG rerolling Lilith...

I'm kind of hating Lilith. Her skill has got to be the most useless out of the 4 in my opinion. I just find myself pumping SMG's with Elemental Damage Mods and Fire Rate. On paper is sounds amazing but it just means you burn through 900 rounds in seconds.

I'm getting absolutely insane damage out of Lilith. Even without elemental shots. I dropped the Rakk Hive boss in about 15 seconds with my SMG, been using it since level 16 and I still use it now at 33. Not once have I ran out of ammo (SMG atleast) my entire time playing the game.

Try doing a combo of elemental SMGs and revolvers. I generally use the revolver for slightly more distant targets, then switch to a SMG when something gets close enough to consistently headshot with the lower accuracy weapons.

What's a good skill tree for Lilith anyway? I was thinking about working my way to Pheonix and maxing out the daze abilities.

Anyone know a good skill tree setup for all round damage?

I'm generally rocking out SMG's, Sniper's and Shotgun's. There's plenty of SMG's with a high enough accuracy rating to go for the head at mid range, especially when you get the Enforcer skill (+35% Acc after kills at 5/5). Plus she gets some great class mods for it, I'm rocking a merc mod with +44% SMG damage, +3 Quicksilver, +2 High Velocity and +30% SMG elemental effect chance. I use it with regular and explosion shot SMG's. I swap to Plaguebearer and an awesome corrosive shotgun on armoured enemies just for a change of pace, can drop em just as fast with my default-ish setup.

Edit: Fuck Phoenix, I would not suggest it at all. I probably got killed thanks to it more times than I've died total throughout the game. Constantly running past explosive barrels and losing all my health is not fun. Range is absolutely tiny and damage is shitty (only tested it at level 3, doubt it'd be any more worth it at 5+).

im controller spec'd right now which has been a blast and makes things that run at my hilariously easy to kill including things like skagzilla. i run with an smg, sniper rifle, revolver, and shotgun, mostly just use the smg and sniper rifle

This is my Lilith build: Borderlands: Skill Tree

I play co-op with mates literally all the time, so i play a kind of CC/DoT role, keep most mobs dazed and DoT'd up (personally i find corrosive the best most of the time) and then let them loose. also i found a dark orange SMG with x2 bullets fired at a time, +40% reload speed and +5 ammo regeneration. combine that with my skill tree, and my class mod (mercenary, +40% SMG dmg and also +8 SMG regeneration) and i never run out of ammo, and pump out SMG bullets nearly constantly lol.
