That's sort of like my SMG. Has 37 x4 damage and 87 bullets in a single reload. Absolutely tears things up. And elements are just depending on enemies. Fire on flesh/unarmoured, corrosive on armoured enemies. I haven't really toyed around with shock yet. I don't have any ammo regen but I've never had any problems regardless, I guess it's just because I don't rely solely on SMG. There's absolutely fuckload of ammo chests around ontop of the enemy drops, so there's really no need for the regen (definitely nice to have, but not required).
For PC users, use this before the game explodes and shits on your saves. Or if you join a pub and some douche host is purposely trying to corrupt your datazz.
i made a short batch file to backup save + launch game for each session - Gearbox Software Community
The .bat can be placed anywhere, its just an executor. As for the rest, make sure the folder created is in the proper directory for the backups.
so PC version... How the hell do you toggle your mic? I dont want people playing with me to hear me yelling at people in my house. I don't even want to use their communication service, we use vent. It's not in game or audio options...

scroll down to the part on how to mute mic.
Oh theres a lot of useful stuff in there, thanks!
Ugh been PC-less for awhile
Um, I beat the first playthrough yesterday and playing the second time around now, level 42 Roland. I'm finding this game much more fun the second time around for some reason. Maybe its the added challenge, Idk.
I'm rockin a heavy gunner mod that adds 50% mag clip size and 40% rate of fire, which makes the Smg/Rifle combo I have unstoppable
Just a question though that I can't figure out, and if its been answered I appologize. But say something has 100 base damage, and it says it has a mod of 10% damage. Does that make the damage 110, or is it still 100 (meaning the added % is already represented in the stat window) ?
I think mods are added in to the displayed stats.
Like... +capacity weapons show the actual clip size.
do weapon stats stack? Like if I have a +100% melee dmg pistol and i smack with a rifle, ill get that bonus?
Nah, I'm pretty sure it just applies to the weapon you have equipped.
I feel Roland is kinda overpowered. This is also coming from someone who hasn't tried the other 3 types though. My Scorpio Turret is a beast. I have 4/5 health regen, and 1 or 2/5 in bullet regen. Then barrage leveled up some. I can literally walk up to every boss, pop the turret, stand beside it, and beat any boss in the game heads-up.
Its empowering, but kinda disappointing.
Your data can be corrupted from simple things, such as lag/stuttering/etc. while the game is trying to save. Its quite retarded that a fail-safe isn't already built into the game. But whatever.
As for hosts in pubs being able to corrupt your character. Its a similar case, but mainly a glitch, to lag out someone or kick someone purposely while they are in a save state mode (when the icon pops up on someones screen, there is a brief 1-5 second save window).
Usually after big events like turning in a quest, running past a save trigger spot, etc. is when someone can do this to you. There may be other ways, just throwing out the one that I know personally.
I fucked up a lilith today when they challenged me. We were both the same level. They did their phase walk on me then proceeded to run around me shooting. So I pulled out my rocket launcher shot the ground and they dropped. Love my 1200damage fire rocket launcher.
They came out of phase walk then ran around me. Guess I should have added that.
I did get fucked up tho by a hunter two levels above me. His bird pretty much fucked up my shield and most of my health and before I got to use my special he shot me. Hate that fucking bird.
Ah, okay. So I went and made a "Backup" folder in the Borderlands folder inside My Documents\My Games\Borderlands. Other folders in that section are "Binaries" "SaveData" and "WillowGame", so did I place the folder in the correct spot? Put the "Backup.bat" in that folder and edited as needed for the PC version.
Borderlands: Skill Tree
This is the tree I'm planning to use. I am using right now Repeater Pistol/Revolver/SMG/Combat Rifle for my 4 weapons. Lilith has gotten better with a nice class mod and a new epic SMG. She still does chew through ammo really quickly, I'm hoping Phoenix might help fix that.
Also I'm still looking for some people to co-op with while my friend gets his PC fixed. GN on Gamespy is Leftarmpunch.
